Nintendo fans, the wait is almost over. Nintendo has confirmed that a new direct is on the horizon for later today, although most players are surprisingly unaware of how they can tune in.

Where to Watch

The next Nintendo Direct is set to commence on September 4th, 2019 at 11pm BST / 3pm PT. Players can watch the official livestream via Nintendo’s official social media platforms, the company has confirmed. We’ve embedded the official YouTube channel below, so you can watch it right here!

A Nintendo Direct has been somewhat of an expected announcement for September 2019, when taking into account that they have usually surfaced in the month.

Nintendo Directs allow the company to showcase the Switch’s most anticipated games, as well as other pieces of information here and there. If the last one is anything to go by, which unveiled Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 during E3 2019, you’re not going to want to miss it!

What to Expect

Although many of the announcements remain to be seen, Nintendo has shed light on what to expect. A more in-depth look at Pokemon Sword and Shield alongside Luigi’s Mansion 3 is on the horizon, in addition to a host of surprises.

One of these surprises will be Overwatch for the Nintendo Switch, a tipster has told VG Sources. An additional look at Nintendo Switch Lite and Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 are also possibilities, though these are far from confirmed.

With Daemon X Machina scheduled to launch September 13, it would be a safe estimate to see Nintendo showcase a little more of the game. The same applies to Zelda: Link’s Awakening, which is slated for release on Sept. 20.

Furthermore, the next arrival on the Super Smash Bros Ultimate roster has also been highly anticipated for a while now. It would come as no surprise to see the next DLC character take centre stage of the Nintendo Direct.

Nintendo has an abundance of other announcements in store, so it’s going to be worth tuning in. Stay tuned.
