Overwatch Switch will be revealed during the next Nintendo Direct, VG Sources has been told by a reliable tipster.

The upcoming direct is scheduled to go in-depth on Pokemon Sword and Shield and Luigi’s Mansion 3, although it appears as though Nintendo has a few other surprises up their sleeve.

When is the Next Nintendo Direct taking place?

In a recent tweet, Nintendo announced a new direct presentation. Scheduled to take place on September 4th, 2019 at 3pm PT / 11pm BST, the livestream will entail new information on both Pokemon Sword and Shield and Luigi’s Mansion 3. It will surface for roughly 40 minutes featuring a few other surpirses, Nintendo has also confirmed.

Directs usually allow Nintendo to unveil most of their major upcoming titles in just over a 30-minute livestream. It seems the upcoming one might grant fans with a little more than expected, however.

Overwatch Nintendo Switch Reveal Tomorrow?

Overwatch currently remains as one of the most popular games within the world, although it has already surpassed its third anniversary since launch. The team-based multiplayer shooter is currently only available on PS4, Xbox One, and Windows, but that’s supposedly about to change.

VG Sources has been tipped with exclusive information to suggest an Overwatch Switch port is on the horizon, with a reveal scheduled for tomorrow. We’ve reached out to our sources for further comment on the matter.

This has also been supported by numerous other industry insiders and leaks. The most recent of which seems to all but confirm the port. Last week, an Overwatch-themed Nintendo Switch case was briefly listed on Amazon courtesy of PowerA. Although the product was soon to be taken down, fans on Resetera quickly noticed it was “officially licensed by Nintendo and Blizzard Entertainment.” Although this doesn’t explicitly confirm anything, it’s certainly enough to suggest Overwatch might be coming to Nintendo Switch.

Overwatch Nintendo Switch Case Amazon Listing

In the past, Blizzard has merely acknowledged the prospect of Overwatch on Switch. Although they did mention it was “feasible,” it never appeared to be a strong possibility. Now, perhaps Blizzard has witnessed the great acclaim Diablo 3’s port to the Nintendo Switch has received and decided to follow suit with Overwatch.

While Nintendo is yet to comment on the matter, it’s important we take this with at least some skepticism. The next Nintendo Direct is set to take place tomorrow, and if you’re an avid Overwatch fan it might be worth tuning in.
