Modern Warfare Weapons List Leaked Via In-Game Files

Modern Warfare Weapons

The launch of Call of Duty Modern Warfare is almost upon us, though it appears the entire weapon list has already been leaked ahead of schedule. Partners of VG Sources have discovered upon the references via the in-game files on PC.

It’s also possible for Infinity Ward to introduce some of the following Modern Warfare weapons as post-launch content. That said, the vast majority of the list should still be accurate – especially considering many have already been confirmed courtesy of the Beta.

The list includes roughly 50 weapons. While some are reminiscent of previous Call of Duty games, others will be marking their debut in the franchise come October 25th. The in-game files appear to suggest the return of the Crossbow, though we wouldn’t be surprised to see this arrive following the launch of the title. It should also be noted that some of the weapons above will have akimbo variants, these have all been listed.

Modern Warfare Multiplayer Modes List Leaked

Dataminers close to VG Sources also found references towards ‘Combat Outpost’, though this has been confirmed as a cut game mode. Kill Confirmed 2v2 was also featured in the code, as showcased in the screenshot below.

Modern Warfare 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 & 4v4 Tournaments Leaked

As we approach a little over one month until the latest iteration of the Call of Duty franchise releases worldwide, data miners have been thoroughly searching through the in-game files on PC. Partners of VG Sources have discovered upon references towards 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 all making their way into Modern Warfare via the brand-new tournament system.

It’s important to notes that some of these could have been included within the in-game files on PC for merely testing purposes. Nevertheless, the references towards 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 tournaments can be found below.

Modern Warfare 1v1 2v2 3v3 4v4 Tournaments Datamine
Modern Warfare 1v1 2v2 3v3 4v4 Tournaments Datamine

Infinity Ward touched on the built-in tournament system back in July, though since then details have remained scarce. However, the in-game files may have provided indication of what the new feature will entail. The developers showcased a little glimpse of the new aspect to the press a while back, confirming that the system will specifically support Gunfight mode. As to whether or not a tournament system will be implemented for other Multiplayer modes remains to be seen.

Most interestingly, if the system is exclusive to Gunfight, the in-game files could suggest Gunfight will be playable on either 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4. This is far from confirmed, however.

The built-in tournaments will reportedly use a bracket system to determine who advances further into each tournament. The game accurately does the bracket system for you. Of course, if you win you’ll advance into the later rounds, whereas if you lose you’ll presumably be eliminated from the tournament. It’s unclear how many rounds there are within each until the final.

Infinity Ward is yet to clarify whether or not the tournament system will be fully developed for launch. They also haven’t discussed what rewards will be available, though knowing the developers, they’ll probably make it worth your while!

Modern Warfare Campaign Missions Leaked

Modern Warfare Campaign Missions

Infinity Ward has generally remained tight-lipped on the single-player mode as of recently, though it appears the entire list of Modern Warfare campaign missions has been leaked. Partners of VG Sources have discovered upon references towards each of the missions within the in-game files on PC.

According to the in-game files, Modern Warfare’s highly anticipated campaign mode will feature 14 missions, all of which have been listed below. The length of the campaign appears to roughly follow suit with other titles within the critically acclaimed Call of Duty franchise.

Modern Warfare Campaign Missions Datamine 3

We stress that Infinity Ward is yet to comment on the matter, though these were pulled directly from the in-game files. Please note that a few of the following missions may merely be a codename, but the finer details will most likely remain the same.

Names of Modern Warfare Post-Launch Content Seasons Leaked

Modern Warfare Seasons Leaked

During the worldwide multiplayer reveal for Modern Warfare, publisher Activision went on record announcing that all post-launch content would be free. Activision has repeated this sentiment as we get closer to launch, although what remains to be known is what content the community can expect after launch.

VG Sources has discovered references towards the five post-launch content season names within Modern Warfare, all of which are as follows:

  • Season 1: Broken Arrow
  • Season 2: Cyber Attack
  • Season 3: Bio Warfare
  • Season 4: Home Grown Terrorism
  • Season 5: Climate War
Screenshot of references towards Modern Warfare season names within in-game files on PC

The files do not entail any information on what each season will entail, but we’ll update you if we find any more references to these.

The content is broken down by seasons similar to how Treyarch did seasonal events for Black Ops 4, that will last the game over the course of the year. The first content drop for Black Ops 4 started in December, two months after launch, and brought a new specialist, a new mode for Blackout, and the supply tier system.

Assuming it follows the same format as Black Ops 4, players can expect new content such as weapons and changes across the different modes. For example, Broken Arrow could see the introduction of the fan-favorite crossbow, while Cyber Attack could see a change to the new game mode being included in this year’s multiplayer. Whether it will contain a supply tier system like Black Ops 4 is yet to be seen.

Note that this is not confirmed. Details can be subject to chanage prior to the game’s release. More information will likely come out as we reach close to the release date of Modern Warfare.

The in-game files suggest Modern Warfare will receives five seasons of new content throughout its life span. Perhaps there will be more, although in the current build of the files they’ve made no appearance.

In addition to this, VG Sources has also discovered the entire list of map names and Battle Royale locations throughout the in-game files.

Report: The Last of Us 2 Release Date Leaked – Special & Collector’s Edition

The Last of Us 2 rumors have been running rampant as of recently with the latest possibly revealing what to expect during the upcoming PlayStation State of Play.

Release Date

It appears as though a new listing has surfaced online, detailing both a Special and Collector’s Edition, in addition to The Last of Us 2 release date. The listing comes courtesy of the Swiss Softridge store.

If the listing is anything to go by, The last of Us 2 will be releasing on February 28th, 2020. It states the game “will be available in-store from February 28th, 2020,” whereas it will be shipped one day before. This has also been supported by other insiders, many of whom have stated the game will launch in February next year.

The Last of Us Part 2 Editions Leaked

In addition to the release date, the listing seems to have also revealed three editions for the game, all of which have been featured below.

  • Standard Edition – priced at 79CHF
  • Special Edition – priced at 99.90CHF, equivalent to €91,52/$100,81/£80,84.
  • Collector’s Edition – priced at 279.90CHF, equivalent to €256,43/$282,46/£226,50

It’s important to note that the prices above will most likely not be the exact same. Even though the special edition works out to be £80,84, it’ll probably be priced at £79.99.

The Last of Us 2 Release Date - Editions Lisiting
Screenshot of translated version of The Last of Us 2 listing.

Previous leaks have indicated the arrival of an Ellie edition. If that’s the case, there’ll probably be more editions than just the three above. Unfortunately, the website doesn’t list what any of the editions include, instead mentions “further information will follow”

Many eagle-eyed fans will have noticed the Collector’s Edition is priced at a whopping 279.90CHF. It’s unclear what justifies that price, although one thing which is for sure – it’s going to have be a pretty hefty pre-order incentive.

While there’s no way to verify this information, we advise fans to remain somewhat skeptical. Sony and Naughty Dog are both yet to comment on the matter.

SOURCES: Next State of Play will reveal The Last of Us 2 release date.

Naughty Dog has already confirmed the prospect of The Last of Us 2 making an appearance during the upcoming State of Play, which is slated to take place on September 24th, 2019.

Although they haven’t discussed what the episode will exactly entail, sources have previously told VG Sources that Naughty Dog will finally shed light on highly anticipated sequel’s release date.

Modern Warfare Battle Royale Locations and Loot Items List Leaked

Modern Warfare Battle Royale Map Locations

Infinity Ward is yet to confirm the prospect of Battle Royale within the upcoming Call of Duty installment, even though it seems practically official. References towards Modern Warfare Battle Royale have been discovered within the in-game files on PC, in addition to a full list of locations, and loot items.

VG Sources has exclusively obtained screenshots of lines of code within the PC files which discuss the locations and loot.

Modern Warfare Battle Royale Locations and Loot

There are also references to “Plunder.” It appears as though this will be the cash system for the mode, allowing users to obtain money while they play. Perhaps the money will allow players to purchase cosmetic items within the game.

NEW LEAK: Modern Warfare Achievements List

Most notably, there appears to be a bank location. This could be where players will be able to deposit their Plunder after acquiring it within a match.

Modern Warfare BR Map Locations

The Modern Warfare Battle Royale map locations are as follows, according to the in-game files.

  • Bank
  • Boneyard
  • Dam
  • Downtown
  • Firestation
  • Gas Station
  • Gulag
  • Gunstore
  • Hospital
  • Layover

  • Quarry
  • Storagetown
  • Supercenter
  • Train Yard
  • TV Station

Loot Items Leaked

  • Medical
  • Alcohol
  • Armor
  • Plunder (in-game cash)

There’ll undoubtedly be more loot, although that’s all which has been found within the in-game files thus far.

Most interestingly, some of the items are referred to by their color within the files. This presumably suggests the rarity of an item within Modern Warfare Battle Royale will be portrayed by the color of the item. Similar to other Battle Royale titles, blue probably means rare whereas purple most likely means an epic rarity.

NEW LEAK: Modern Warfare map list suggests return of Shipment and Terminal

Numerous other discovered have been made courtesy of the in-game files. VG Sources has also found information regarding the return of Terminal and Shipment within Modern Warfare, in addition to a full list of achievement on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

VG Sources have been digging through the PC in-game files and have received a first look at the Modern Warfare map list. References towards the return of Shipment and Terminal have been discovered, in addition to a host of other classic maps.

Straight off the bat, we stress that Infinity Ward is yet to comment on the matter. Although some maps can be subject to change, the following list has been pulled directly from the Call of Duty Modern Warfare in-game files.

Alongside this, other classics from MW2 seem to be returning, including Sub Base, Rust, and Terminal. Rust was actually pulled from MW2, though almost 10 years later the iconic map appears to be coming back.

It’s unclear as to whether some of these maps were included within the files due to testing purposes. It’s possible some of these are also left over code from IW. Regardless of this, Modern Warfare certainly features more maps than any other Call of Duty title.

Modern Warfare Achievements

In previous years, achievements have provided players with an incentive to complete certain aspects of the game. It appears to be no different with the upcoming iteration of the Call of Duty franchise, especially considering there are over twenty-five achievements to unlock.

Some of these appear to follow the same pattern as other titles within the series, whereas others are entirely new. Most notably, the leaked Modern Warfare achievement list also provides clues on what to expect from Campaign and Spec-Ops.

The official in-game files list 27 achievements, although some can be subject to change. Additionally, it’s possible several more achievements will be added to Modern Warfare by launch.

It’s important to note that these achievements apply for all platforms – PS4, Xbox One and PC. Of course, they’ll probably be called ‘Trophies’ on PlayStation 4 rather than Achievements.

Sources: Upcoming PlayStation State of Play Will Reveal The Last of Us 2 Release Date/Window

Sony’s Nintendo Direct styled broadcast is slated to return later this month. Naughty Dog has recently confirmed The Last of Us 2 will finally be revealed, though it appears fans will receive a little more than a further look at the highly anticipated sequel.

Naughty Dog has generally remained tight-lipped on The Last of Part 2, but the developers are finally ready to shed light on the game. The next PlayStation State of Play is set to take place on September 24, 2019.

A reliable tipster has reached out to VG Sources with information suggesting The Last of Us 2 release date will be revealed during the upcoming State of Play.

“Naughty Dog is planning to reveal The Last of Us 2 release date/WINDOW during the next State of Play episode. You’re not going to want to miss it because that’s not going to be the only thing they showcase either. I can’t say much more right now.”

The title will allegedly launch in February 2020. However, VG Sources are unable to verify these reports at this point in time. We’ve reached out to our source for comment on when The Last of Us 2 is coming out.

In addition to the PlayStation State of Play broadcast, Naughty Dog will also be hosting a Last of Us 2 media event. This is scheduled to take place on the same day, September 24, in Los Angeles. As of the time writing this, it remains to be seen as to what this event will officially entail.

Fans are also convinced that a Multiplayer Beta for The Last of Us 2 is in the works. While this might not seem like too much of a stretch, it’s important to note that Naughty Dog is yet to comment on the matter. Perhaps this will be revealed during the upcoming State of Play.

In other news, despite the official Spanish PlayStation Blog mentioning that the sequel will be at Madrid Games Week from October 3rd to 6th, Sony has confirmed this is not the case. It appears as though the Spanish Blog accidentally made a mistake here.
