Critics generally liked MotoGP 14’s handling options, range of modes, and motorcycle-racing feel, but its presentation and technical issues kept the overall reception from being uniformly strong. Metacritic’s PS4 page currently shows a 73/100 from 28 critic reviews, labeled “Mixed or Average.”
What did critics think of MotoGP 14?
The 2014 official MotoGP game drew praise for the amount of content and the way its handling could be adjusted to suit different skill levels. Criticism focused on uneven visuals, glitches, and a learning curve that could challenge newcomers. Those are recurring themes in reviews, not complaints shared by every critic.

These are current page observations of reviews published in 2014, not new reviews from 2026. The PC score is based on five reviews, compared with 28 for PS4, so the three-point difference does not establish that one version is better. Metacritic also lists PS3, PS Vita, and Xbox 360 versions, but the figures above are the platform aggregates available here.

Is MotoGP 14 worth considering?
The reviews suggest it is most appealing to players looking for a content-rich licensed motorcycle racer with adjustable handling and a substantial range of modes. Its weaker points are its inconsistent presentation and technical rough edges, while players new to the genre may find the learning curve demanding. The critics’ record is therefore favorable in several specific respects, but the PS4 aggregate remains mixed overall.
