Sony’s US recommended retail price for the PS5 Pro is $899.99, effective April 2, 2026. PlayStation Direct’s US listing showed the console as out of stock when checked on October 7, 2026, and no specific third-party retailer’s live stock or price was verified. Start with PlayStation’s official US buy page, then confirm stock, seller identity, and the final checkout total before you pay.
Where to look for a PS5 Pro at retail price
- Check PlayStation Direct. Sony’s US product listing is an official purchase route for the 2 TB PS5 Pro. When checked on October 7, 2026, it displayed “Not in stock? Please check back later.” That is a snapshot, not a restock forecast. Check the PlayStation Direct PS5 Pro listing.
- Use Sony’s retailer directory. PlayStation’s US buy page links to the PS5 Pro and says consoles are available through online retailers. It does not establish which retailer currently has stock at the recommended price.
- Verify each live listing before ordering. Compare the actual seller, stock and delivery or pickup status, product contents, and final checkout price. On a marketplace, check whether the seller is the retailer itself or a third-party merchant. Review the return and warranty terms shown for that listing.
Sony’s 2024 launch announcement said the console was available directly from PlayStation and participating retailers at launch; that historical statement does not confirm present-day availability. Current stock at named retailers should be checked directly rather than assumed. Sony’s launch announcement.

These are Sony Interactive Entertainment’s recommended prices announced in March 2026, not a guarantee that every store will charge them. Local taxes, bundles, and seller status can affect the checkout total. For other territories, check a local retailer or PlayStation Direct where available. Sony’s regional price announcement.
How to tell whether an offer is really retail price
Use the dated recommended price for your region as the reference point, then compare it with the final amount charged by the seller. An offer above that figure is not a retail-price offer simply because it appears on a major shopping site. Factor in any shipping or other charges shown at checkout, and inspect the seller and listing details before deciding.

There is a discrepancy on Sony’s own US pages: the March 2026 announcement sets the recommended price at $899.99, while the PlayStation Direct listing displayed $899.00 when checked on October 7, 2026. Treat the dated announcement as the stated US recommended price, and check the live listing and checkout total rather than assuming either display will remain unchanged.

The PS5 Pro is an all-digital console with 2 TB storage and no built-in disc drive. PlayStation Direct says the disc drive and vertical stand are sold separately. If you need to play discs, confirm the exact add-on model and compatibility before buying; do not assume a console-only listing includes either accessory.
