A new report says Forza Horizon 6 will arrive on PS5 on January 26, 2027, later than the 2026 window Playground Games had announced. That date—and a reported same-day disc edition—has not been confirmed by the official material cited here. Playground’s latest cited official statement still said “later this year,” referring to 2026.
Has Forza Horizon 6 been delayed on PS5?
A report published October 7, 2026, claims the PS5 version is now due on January 26, 2027. If accurate, that would put the release beyond the 2026 window Playground Games announced. But the reported date is not an officially confirmed delay: Playground’s cited announcement and FAQ do not give a specific PS5 date, and the cited official material does not confirm that the date has changed.
The distinction matters: the report provides a precise date, while the official statement provides only a release window. Until Playground Games, Xbox, or the PlayStation Store publishes an updated date, January 26 should be treated as a report, not a confirmed launch date.
What Playground Games officially announced
On January 22, 2026, Playground Games announced that Forza Horizon 6 would launch on Xbox Series X|S and PC on May 19, 2026, with Premium Edition early access scheduled for May 15. It said the PS5 version was coming “later this year” and that players could add it to their PlayStation Store wishlist. The announcement did not specify a PS5 launch day or confirm a disc edition: Playground Games’ announcement.

Playground’s official FAQ also described the PS5 release as “later this year,” without an exact date. In September, GamesRadar+ reported that Playground had reiterated the 2026 window, again without naming a day: GamesRadar+’s coverage.
What the new report claims
The October 7 report, reproduced in a Reddit post, attributes a January 26, 2027 PS5 release date to Dealabs. It also claims a PS5 disc edition will launch that day. These are report-based details; the cited official announcement does not verify either the date or the physical format: the Reddit post reproducing the report.
The same report lists €69.99 for Europe and £59.99 for the UK, and says $69.99 is expected in the US. Those figures are also unconfirmed report claims, not official PS5 pricing. The US amount is described as an expectation rather than a confirmed price.
Why the claims are easy to confuse
Earlier in September, VICE reported Tom Warren’s expectation that the PS5 version might not arrive in 2026, while noting that Microsoft and Playground had not officially announced a delay at that point: VICE’s coverage. That earlier speculation and the newer, more specific report do not replace a first-party confirmation.

When is Forza Horizon 6 coming to PS5?
The most precise answer available from the cited sources is that a new report claims January 26, 2027, while Playground Games’ cited official materials state only “later in 2026.” No exact PS5 release date or physical edition is confirmed in those official sources. Check Playground Games, Xbox, or the PlayStation Store for an official update before relying on the reported date or prices.
