For a PlayStation Store purchase problem, start with PlayStation’s official Contact Us guide and choose the route that matches your issue. For a refund or other Store problem, begin in Store & Refunds; first check Transaction History to identify the purchase. If you do not recognize a charge, use the Account & Security route instead.

Available contact methods depend on your country and issue. Follow the live support page for your region rather than relying on a universal phone number or assuming chat is available.

Find the purchase in Transaction History

Check the transaction before contacting support so you can identify the purchase and its date. PlayStation’s guide says the online history view defaults to the previous two years; select a transaction to see its details. You can check it on the web, console, or app using the routes below. The guide is hosted on PlayStation’s UK site, so wording or availability may vary by region.

Web: Sign in to Account Management, then open Transaction History: PlayStation’s transaction-history guide.
PS5: Settings → Users and Accounts → Account → Payment and Subscriptions → Transaction History. A family manager can view family members’ transaction history.
PS4: Settings → Account Management → Account Information → Wallet → Transaction History. The guide directs users to scan the QR code to view transaction history.
PlayStation App: Select PlayStation Store → menu → Transaction History.

Request a refund for an eligible purchase

Refund rules depend on the purchase type and applicable PlayStation policy or local consumer rights; not every digital purchase is eligible. PlayStation’s Ireland-hosted refund guide directs users to its online assistant to check eligibility and says to contact support if they still need help: How to request a refund for a purchase on PlayStation Store.

PlayStation’s US Store support hub gives this route for an eligible transaction:

Open Transaction History and select the purchase.
Choose Request Refund, then follow the instructions shown.

For a US refund request, PlayStation’s cancellation policy says to have your Online ID, Sign-In ID (email address), and the name of the purchase ready. These are US-specific instructions, not a guarantee of eligibility elsewhere: PlayStation Store cancellation policy.

If you do not recognize a PlayStation charge

First compare the charge with Transaction History. Check whether it could be a subscription renewal, a family member’s purchase, or a duplicate transaction. If none explains it, use PlayStation’s official unauthorized-transaction and compromised-account guidance and choose the Account & Security support route. Treat an unexplained charge as a possible account-security issue, not simply a refund request.

Keep account information private

Do not post your password or full payment-card details publicly. Share account or payment information only through PlayStation’s official support process when requested.

Choose the right PlayStation contact route

PlayStation’s contact guide asks users to look up their issue to find the relevant contact method. Select Store & Refunds for a purchase or refund problem; select Account & Security for a charge you cannot explain or a potentially compromised account. The cited contact guide and Store support hub are US pages. For contact options and policies applicable to you, open the official PlayStation support site for your country and follow the current issue-specific instructions.
