No official PC version of P.T. is verified here. Fan-made PC recreations have existed, but a project being playable or free to download does not mean Konami authorized it. The legal answer for a particular port or download can depend on where you are, what files it uses and distributes, and how those files were obtained.
What P.T. is—and what is available on PC
P.T. was a free PlayStation Store playable teaser released in 2014 for the cancelled Silent Hills project. A 2024 article in the Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal describes Konami later delisting it. That history does not establish a current authorized PC release; I could not verify one in the sources available for this article. Read the 2024 legal scholarship.

Why a fan port is not automatically authorized
Konami Digital Entertainment B.V.’s European support page says: “Generally, Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. does not object to fans using copyrighted materials for non-commercial purposes, and in a manner which does not intentionally spoil the plot of a game for other players.” Konami’s copyright and fan-use policy.
That is conditional policy language, not an explicit license to make, host, or distribute a playable PC port of P.T. The page defines noncommercial use to exclude promoting a product or making a profit, including monetizing a website or media channel. It also reserves Konami’s right to request takedowns or remove content it finds objectionable case by case, and says it cannot grant permissions for content licensed to Konami or its partners. The policy names Konami Digital Entertainment B.V.; it should not be treated as a worldwide, unconditional permission or as a decision about a particular fan project.

Historical reporting summarized in the 2024 legal article and a secondary overview recounts a PC remake released in 2018 that was shut down after Konami action, and a separate Unreal Engine remake released in 2019 that its developer pulled. How to assess a claimed PC version
Technical playability and rights-holder authorization are separate questions. A project may run on a PC without being licensed, and a free download is not automatically permitted. Relevant facts include:

- Authorization: Is there clear permission from the relevant rights holder for this specific project and its distribution?
- Files and assets: Does it redistribute original game files, code, music, graphics, or other protected material?
- Provenance: How were any required files obtained, and are they being shared or merely used locally?
- Distribution and monetization: Is the developer distributing the build, charging for it, or using it to promote or monetize another product or channel?
- Jurisdiction and conduct: Which country’s law applies, and what exactly did the user download, copy, or distribute?

Social-media posts in 2026 claimed a native PC port using original game files, but no authoritative publisher, rights-holder, or platform source in the material reviewed for this article verified the project’s provenance, license, or current availability. Do not infer that such a build is official, lawful, safe, or endorsed from a post alone. Epic’s fan-content policy does not change that: it covers Epic intellectual property and says fan content must comply with law and respect others’ rights, so it cannot grant rights in Konami’s game.
