Arc System Works producer Takeshi Yamanaka announced him on July 23, 2026, and identified Ray Chase as his English voice actor.
Is Phoenix Cyclops playable on November 2?
That date is unverified by the official character announcement. Yamanaka’s July 23 PlayStation Blog post says Phoenix Cyclops will be the first additional character in Year 1 content, but gives no date for when he becomes playable. It would be inaccurate to treat November 2 as confirmed without a later official update.

His place in Year 1 content
Phoenix Cyclops is the first announced additional character for the game’s Year 1 content. The PlayStation post identifies Ray Chase as the character’s English voice actor.
His design and abilities
The character takes inspiration from Cyclops’s Phoenix Five incarnation in Avengers vs. X-Men. The announcement describes a new appearance imbued with Phoenix Force power, and mentions his optic blasts and hand-to-hand abilities. It does not explain their in-game properties, so details such as specific moves or combat effects have not been established by that post.

What game and platforms is he joining?
MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls is listed for PlayStation 5 and PC. The official PlayStation US game page gives an August 6, 2026 launch date, with August 7 launches in New Zealand, Australia, Japan, and Korea. It lists 20 playable characters at launch. Phoenix Cyclops is described separately as Year 1 additional content, not as one of those launch characters.
The PlayStation page describes Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Ultimate editions. Premium editions include a Year 1 Character and Stage Pass, which grants access to additional characters and a post-launch stage. Check the current listing for edition contents and availability before buying; the details can change.

Yamanaka’s post also credits Japanese animation studio Sanzigen with the opening movie and Episode Mode cinematic sequences. Keiko Terada of SHOW-YA and mayu of NEMOPHILA are named as opening-theme singers; Kanata Okajima is credited with lyrics, MEG (MEGMETAL) with composition and arrangement, and Sanzigen’s Daisuke Suzuki as opening animation director.
