EB Games Canada will open a permanent Nintendo-branded retail space inside its flagship store at 267 Yonge Street in Toronto on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The 1,500-square-foot space is Nintendo’s first store-within-a-store in North America, according to the October 6 announcement from Nintendo of Canada and EB Games Canada.
Where is Nintendo’s first North American store-within-a-store?
It will be inside the EB Games flagship at 267 Yonge Street in Toronto. This is a Nintendo-branded space within an existing EB Games location, not a standalone Nintendo store. The announced footprint is 1,500 square feet.
Nintendo of Canada previously listed the same address for a Pokémon Pokopia demo event held March 7–8, 2026; that event does not establish the new space’s regular hours or access arrangements. Nintendo’s notice for the earlier event is historical context only.
When does the EB Games Toronto Nintendo space open?
The public opening and ribbon-cutting are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2026. The announcement does not state the space’s ongoing operating hours or provide details about queues or entry arrangements.

What can visitors do at the Toronto Nintendo space?
EB Games Canada says the space will feature Nintendo Switch 2 hardware and software, demo systems with playable games, Nintendo-themed displays, merchandise, and photo opportunities. The announcement does not say that visitors need to own a Switch 2 to use the demo systems.
My Mario merchandise
A selection of My Mario merchandise is also planned. EB Games says some items will be exclusive to this Nintendo space in Canada, but it has not identified which products, listed prices, or promised inventory levels.

EB Games Canada Owner and CEO Stéphan Tétrault described the space as an immersive retail experience intended to bring customers closer to Nintendo characters and franchises. Nintendo of Canada Vice President and General Manager Susan Pennefather said the concept is a new way for people to experience Nintendo games and worlds, and called Toronto the first North American location.

The announcement describes EB Games Canada as operating more than 170 stores across Canada. It also cites Nintendo’s company description of more than 6.1 billion video games and over 870 million hardware units sold globally; those are Nintendo’s figures, not independently verified totals in the announcement.
