Nintendo Switch 2 is planned for summer 2026, with no exact date stated. The extended gameplay showcase was released earlier, on September 3, 2025, and runs for over 30 minutes.
When does 007 First Light come out?
IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios announced on May 21, 2026, that 007 First Light would release May 27, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The official US PlayStation listing also gives May 27 as the PS5 release date.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version was planned for summer 2026 in the May announcement; it did not give a specific day. Treat that as a release window, not a confirmed date.
Was 007 First Light delayed from March?
Yes. PlayStation Blog’s September 3, 2025 gameplay feature announced March 27, 2026 as the launch date. The later May 21, 2026 announcement moved the scheduled launch to May 27, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The original March date is no longer the current schedule.

Where can you watch the extended gameplay video?
The extended gameplay feature appeared on PlayStation Blog on September 3, 2025. What does the showcase show?
IO Interactive described 007 First Light as a standalone original Bond adventure. The two-mission footage offers an early look at its mix of stealth and action, along with gadgets and driving. This is a gameplay showcase, not a release-date confirmation: its March 2026 wording predates the later May schedule.
