007 First Light is already out on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC; Nintendo Switch 2 is currently listed for March 2027. The Legacy Edition is the version to compare if you want its Golden Gun figurine and Steel Case, but the available information does not establish current stock, prices, or open pre-orders.
When did 007 First Light release?
IO Interactive’s official support page, updated September 15, 2026, lists 007 First Light as released on May 27, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with Nintendo Switch 2 scheduled for March 2027. That later Switch 2 date supersedes earlier announcements that projected a Summer 2026 release. Check the official release-date and edition information for updates.

The title’s pre-launch announcements promoted a free Deluxe Edition upgrade for pre-orders, including 24-hour early access. That was a launch offer, not proof of an active post-release promotion. The support page specifies early access for digital pre-orders only and does not list it for Legacy Edition. Check a current platform or retailer listing before relying on any bonus.

What kind of Bond game is it?
007 First Light is a standalone, reimagined origin story, not a retelling of a particular Bond film. The official reveal describes a 26-year-old Bond beginning as a Navy air crewman before entering MI6’s training program. PlayStation describes it as a third-person action-adventure combining armed and unarmed combat, stealth, gadgets, and vehicles. PlayStation’s game page provides its platform description.

- For Switch 2, whether a current listing confirms availability; the official support page currently gives March 2027 as its release window.
Official sources verify the edition contents and platform dates, but do not establish current Legacy stock, regional pricing, or whether Switch 2 pre-orders are open. The official US PlayStation page lists the PS5 base game and Deluxe Edition, gives the May 27, 2026 release date, and says the game is not available for PS4; listings and availability can change.
