Reports in mid-January 2026 said ThiGamesDE’s PlayStation Store catalog had disappeared, but the widely repeated figure of 1,194 refers to reported listings across PS4 and PS5—not 1,194 confirmed PS5-only games. No Sony explanation was reported, and public coverage does not establish what every previous purchaser can still download or play.

What happened to ThiGames’ PlayStation Store catalog?

Gaming outlets reported around January 14–15, 2026, that listings for games published by ThiGamesDE, also referred to as ThiGames, were no longer available on the PlayStation Store. GamingHQ reported that direct Store links returned errors, while other coverage described the catalog as unlisted or removed. These accounts document reported storefront availability; they are not a complete audit of every region, account, or title.

4	$10 -PlayStation Store Gift Card [Digital Code]	$10.00	Buy on Amazon
5	$75 PlayStation Store Gift Card [Digital Code]	$75.00	Buy on Amazon

The observation was attributed to players monitoring Store changes. RobThanatos wrote, as quoted by PlayStation LifeStyle: “All @PlayStation games by the publisher @ThiGames_DE seem to be unlisted from the ps store, they had the 4th most games on psn.” That was a user’s report, not a statement from Sony.

Were 1,194 PS5 games removed?

No. GamesRadar and PlayStation LifeStyle reported a catalog figure of 1,194, but coverage described the listings as spanning PS4 and PS5. The headline shorthand “PS5 games” therefore overstates what the number establishes: it is not a verified count of PS5-only titles.

Nor is 1,194 necessarily the number of distinct games. Game World Observer relayed a GameDiscoverCo estimate that the storefront listings represented 153 underlying games, with regional SKUs contributing to the larger listing count. That is a third-party estimate reported secondhand, not an official or independently verified count. Some coverage has put the reported catalog total slightly higher, around 1,196, so “about 1,194” is the more careful description.

Why did the listings disappear?

The cited coverage did not include an explanation from Sony or ThiGames. Articles speculated that the removals might relate to low-quality or trophy-focused releases, or to quality-control and player-safety efforts, but those explanations were not confirmed. It is fair to say the listings were reported missing or delisted; it is not established that Sony formally banned ThiGames or announced a specific policy action against it.

Can previous buyers still download or play their games?

Public reports do not establish a universal answer. They do not confirm whether every affected title remains downloadable or playable for every previous buyer in every region. A missing Store page does not, by itself, settle the status of a particular account’s entitlement.

If a game you purchased is missing, check your PlayStation account’s game library and contact official PlayStation Support if the entitlement or download is unavailable. The available reporting cannot resolve an individual account or title.

Does this point to a wider PlayStation Store purge?

GamesRadar reported additional publisher removals in April 2026. That later coverage provides context, but it does not establish that Sony announced a unified Store-wide program or that those cases had the same cause as the reported ThiGames delisting.
