In ARC Raiders, outfits and other cosmetic options change how your Raider, gear, or weapon looks—not documented gameplay stats. The important distinction is that a deck or pass can bundle cosmetics with separate gameplay rewards, so the whole reward track is not necessarily cosmetic.
Do outfits change stats?
Embark classifies outfits and related appearance items as cosmetics. Its official materials do not say that changing an outfit improves stats, concealment, hitbox size, or combat performance. The Goalie Raider Deck, for example, calls the Goalie outfit its cosmetic flagship reward while identifying the hockey stick as a Raider Tool—two different kinds of items in the same deck. Embark’s Goalie deck announcement makes that distinction clear.
Embark also describes shaping a Raider’s “identity and playstyle,” but that broader character-building language is not evidence that clothing changes stats. Consider the specific item: a cosmetic affects appearance; a weapon, gadget, or other gameplay item may affect what you can use.
What can you customize?
Outfits and appearance variants
Outfits change your Raider’s look. Some have documented variants: the Goalie outfit, for example, was offered in four color versions, including a gold version with a visor. Embark also announced outfit toggles, modifications, and colorways for new outfits in the Frozen Trail Premium Pass. Those additions were announced for October 8, 2026; they were not yet available as of October 4, 2026. The Reward Pass announcement describes the planned options.

Other character cosmetics
Official materials name backpacks, backpack attachments, hairstyles, charms, emotes, and Scrappy outfits among the available or announced cosmetic categories. Steam’s Deluxe Edition listing, for instance, includes the Valente outfit, Pathfinder backpack, Blanket Roll backpack attachment, a character cosmetic, the Finger Gun Rapid Fire emote, and the Cowboy Scrappy body type and skin. These are digital game contents, not physical customization accessories. Steam’s ARC Raiders listing provides the edition details.
Weapon appearance
Weapon Stencils are described by Embark as a way to reskin weapons. The Frozen Trail preview announced them as part of the October 8 update; it does not claim they change weapon stats. Embark’s Frozen Trail preview calls them a way to add “Raider flair.”

Can you mix and match outfits?
Embark has announced documented outfit toggles, modifications, and colorways, but its cited announcements do not establish the complete current equip-slot rules or whether every outfit can be freely combined with individual pieces. Do not assume that all cosmetics can be mixed and matched; check the in-game customization options for the specific item.
How do you get outfits and other cosmetics?
Embark says Raider Tokens can be used to get Raider Decks, bundles, and cosmetic items such as outfits, backpacks, charms, emotes, and Scrappy outfits. Decks and passes are progression or reward tracks, and their contents can mix item types.

Free Raider Decks
The Goalie Raider Deck was announced on December 26, 2025, as a free, permanent deck. Its rewards were earned through Cred, Topside, and included 500 Raider Tokens as well as accessories and cosmetics. Those are the announced contents of that particular deck, not a general promise that every deck is free or has the same rewards. See Embark’s Goalie deck announcement.
Frozen Trail Reward Passes
On September 28, 2026, Embark announced two passes for the Frozen Trail update, scheduled for October 8: a Frozen Trail pass with Free and Premium options, and a free Legacy Pass combining existing Raider Deck rewards. Previously earned rewards were to remain unlocked in Legacy, with access to prior deck rewards not yet earned. These were future plans as of October 4, 2026, not confirmation that the passes were already live. The announcement explains the planned passes.

The announced Frozen Trail pass has 60 levels. Embark said the Free Pass would offer up to 200 Raider Tokens and the Premium Pass up to 1,150. It described Free Pass rewards as including outfits and other cosmetics as well as weapons, gadgets, and items; it said the Premium Pass excludes gameplay-benefiting items and adds cosmetics such as outfit options, hairstyles, and Weapon Stencils. These figures and contents refer to the announced Frozen Trail pass, not recurring amounts for every pass.
Deluxe Edition
Steam lists the Deluxe Edition as including the base game, the Wanderer Set (Valente Outfit, Pathfinder Backpack, and Blanket Roll Backpack Attachment), a character cosmetic, the Finger Gun Rapid Fire emote, Cowboy Scrappy body type and skin, and 2,400 Raider Tokens. This is a digital storefront listing; it does not establish a physical edition or accessory. Check Steam’s edition listing for the listed contents.

How to tell a cosmetic from a gameplay reward
Read the description of each item rather than assuming every reward in a cosmetic-themed track is cosmetic. A pass or deck can include both appearance items and equipment or progression rewards. Embark characterized Reward Passes as a progression mechanic for unlocking “outfits, cosmetic items, gadgets, weapons, items, and Raider Tokens,” explicitly naming both cosmetic and gameplay categories. Its Reward Pass announcement describes the system.
