Position is Everything’s May 20, 2026 roundup describes a wild mix of Sims mods, from supernatural chaos and adult gameplay to strange objects and small quality-of-life changes. The names below are drawn from that roundup, not a claim that all 30 are distinct, currently available, compatible with the latest patch, or tested. Before installing anything, check its creator’s current requirements and compatibility notes, and decide whether its content belongs in your game.
What makes these Sims mods “crazy”?
The roundup’s examples span very different kinds of changes. Some introduce violence, adult themes, horror, illness, or other disruptive scenarios; others change careers or personality systems, add supernatural gameplay, or supply unusual objects and visual props. That difference matters: a decorative item may be a one-off visual gag, while a system-changing mod can alter an ongoing save.

The roundup names examples including Extreme Violence, Life’s Tragedies, Basemental Drugs, Wicked Whims, Zombie Apocalypse, Possessed Child, Sim Torments, Road to Fame, Hoe It Up, Have Some Personality Please!, Slice of Life, Meaningful Stories, Automatic Beards, Expanded Mermaids, Fairies vs. Witches, Armageddon, Aliens Reloaded, Basemental Gangs, Better Exceptions, Less Musical Chairs, Simulation Lag Fix, and Don’t Wash Dishes Where You Angry Poop. It also discusses custom objects, food, furniture, functional staircases and elevators, and screenshot props. These descriptions and names reflect the roundup; they do not establish each mod’s current release, exact content, dependencies, or compatibility.
How to choose one for your game
- Check the tone. The roundup includes adult, violent, horror, illness, and chaotic themes. Read the creator’s description and any content warnings before downloading.
- Consider the scope. Decide whether you want an object or visual prop, a career or personality change, or a mod that affects ongoing gameplay systems.
- Verify requirements. Confirm the current game version, dependencies, and any required packs on the creator’s page. The roundup does not establish those details for each entry.
- Check recent compatibility information. A mod that worked before a game update may cause problems afterward. EA advises players to check with creators before using mods following updates.
- Think about your save. For a disruptive experiment, the roundup recommends trying it in a separate save and backing up first.
Are Sims mods safe, and does EA support them?
EA says it does not pre-screen, endorse, or support specific mods or custom content. That means a mod’s presence in a discovery service should not be treated as EA approval or a guarantee of safety. Use sources you trust, read the creator’s information, and understand that installing third-party content carries risk.

EA also warns that updates can make previously working mods cause problems. The game disables mods after updates to help limit gameplay issues; check the creator’s current compatibility guidance before re-enabling them. If a problem appears after adding a mod or updating the game, remove or update the affected content and follow EA’s troubleshooting guidance at The Sims 4: Mods, game updates, and error codes.
Where can you find Sims 4 mods?
EA announced CurseForge as an official repository for Sims 4 user-generated content, accessible through its desktop app or website. CurseForge also promotes browsing and installation tools. That does not mean every mod mentioned in the roundup is hosted there, nor does official-repository status mean EA has pre-screened or endorsed every individual mod. Do all 30 entries work together?
The roundup’s title is not enough to verify that it contains 30 unique mods: it repeats some names across sections. Nor does it establish that the listed entries work with one another, the current game patch, or a particular set of packs. Avoid treating the roundup as a tested compatibility list. Check each creator’s latest notes, add content cautiously, and keep a separate backed-up save for experiments that could disrupt ongoing gameplay.
