The 2026 LEGO Pokémon announcements covered 20 sets across three waves. As of October 4, 2026, every announced preorder window and release date had passed, so buyers should check current listings in their own market rather than expect to preorder at the announced price.
What the 2026 LEGO Pokémon lineup includes
This guide covers the sets announced in 2026: three first-wave display builds, 12 SMART Play sets, and five additions announced in July. LEGO’s announced prices are shown in US dollars, euros, and British pounds; they are regional launch prices, not guarantees of today’s price or stock. Availability can vary by country and retailer.
First wave: three display sets
LEGO opened preorders for these 18+ display sets on January 12, 2026. All three launched February 27.

The Eevee build has a movable tail, head, and limbs. Pikachu’s display includes an opening Poké Ball and alternate poses. Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise are individually poseable on a shared base.

SMART Play: 12 sets, with two different hardware bundles
LEGO announced this assortment on June 2, 2026, for availability beginning August 1. Its distinction between All-in-One and Compatible sets matters when comparing what is included:
- All-in-One: includes at least one SMART Brick, a charger, and SMART Tags.
- Compatible: includes SMART Tags but no SMART Brick. These sets expand the play experience but do not supply that core hardware.
LEGO describes SMART Play as screen-free play that responds through light, sound, motion, and sensing. Those are the manufacturer’s descriptions, not independent test findings.

The themes range from music and exploration to battles and vehicle play, but the announcement does not establish which set offers the best play experience or value. If you are building out SMART Play, check whether a SMART Brick is already in your collection before choosing a Compatible set.
July additions: three August releases and two October releases
LEGO announced these five sets on July 7, 2026, when their preorder window opened. Munchlax, Arcanine, and Rayquaza launched August 1; the Poké Ball and Red figure launched October 1. All are marked 18+ except Up-Scaled Red Minifigure, which is 10+.

The July announcement gives two different piece counts for set 72154: its product-information table says 2,339, while the descriptive paragraph says 2,368. The table figure is shown here, but the announcement does not resolve the discrepancy. LEGO describes the Poké Ball as an opening display build with scenes, Professor Oak, Picnicker, and Red minifigures, plus Pikachu and Eevee figures.
How to compare prices and estimate your cost
Use the currency and retailer for the country where you plan to buy. A launch price in one region does not establish the price in another, and the announced amounts do not include a dependable estimate of local tax, shipping, discounts, or current retailer pricing.

- Consider piece count alongside the build’s physical scale, age guidance, characters, and whether you want a display model or interactive play.
- For SMART Play, factor in the included hardware: Compatible sets omit the SMART Brick, while All-in-One sets include one or more.
- For a real checkout total, use the actual listing and basket in your market, including shipping and tax where applicable. No single total cost applies across retailers and countries.
Price per piece can be calculated from a specific listing, but it does not measure the build’s size or account for SMART hardware.

No: the preorder windows described in the 2026 announcements are historical. The first wave’s preorder period began January 12; the SMART Play announcement followed on June 2, and the July additions opened for preorder July 7. Since the announced release dates have also passed, check current stock and delivery terms rather than relying on old preorder notices.

LEGO identified LEGO.com, LEGO Stores, and selected retailers in launch markets as sales channels. Pokémon’s July announcement also identified Pokémon Center as a preorder channel for that wave. Neither announcement establishes current inventory in every country. Check the relevant LEGO Pokémon listings, Pokémon Center where available, and retailers serving your region; verify the seller, price, and delivery estimate before ordering.
Past promotions are not current offers
The January announcement offered Kanto Region Badge Collection (40892) with purchase of set 72153 from February 27 through March 3, 2026, while supplies lasted. It also described a Mini Pokémon Center Insiders reward for 2,500 points from February 27 in select markets, subject to availability; its redemption code was valid for 60 days. Those periods have passed.
The June SMART Play announcement said Ditto as Squirtle: Movie Night (40887) was coming soon as a gift-with-purchase and directed readers to LEGO.com for updates. That announcement alone does not establish whether the offer became active, when it ran, or whether it is available now.
