The game is built around 33-player co-op, though, and the studio’s feature descriptions don’t establish whether solo play is balanced or enjoyable in practice. Since the game’s full release arrived on June 10, 2026, the “preview” label is now out of date.
Can you play 33 Immortals solo?
Yes. Thunder Lotus’s official game page says players can “Jump straight into runs, solo or with friends.” That confirms solo runs are an option; it does not establish a separate single-player campaign or explain how the game adjusts when you play without other people.
The advertised core loop centers on fighting enemy hordes and bosses, growing between runs, and using emotes and combined powers with fellow rebels. The same page promotes the game as a 33-player co-op action roguelike. The 33-player figure describes its advertised cooperative scale, not a requirement that every run include a full group.
Does 33 Immortals feel good to play solo?
That depends on hands-on experience. The available official descriptions confirm solo access, but they do not show how difficulty, encounter design, or the usefulness of combined abilities changes for a lone player. So the original preview’s claim that it “feels great” solo should be treated as that author’s judgment, not as a conclusion established by the developer’s feature list.

The studio’s emphasis remains cooperation. In a developer-authored Xbox Wire article, Thunder Lotus community manager Alison Auzias described the design philosophy as “pick-up and raid”: raid-scale action organized into shorter, accessible sessions rather than the long scheduling commitments associated with traditional MMO raids. That describes the studio’s aim, not independent proof of how solo sessions play.
What changed since the preview?
33 Immortals left its preview phase with a 1.0 release on June 10, 2026, for Steam, Xbox, and Epic Games Store, according to the Thunder Lotus release announcement. The studio says version 1.0 includes three fully playable worlds, the final boss encounter, and additions and improvements. Creative director Stephan Logier called the release “everything we wanted the game to become”; that is the developer’s promotional view, not an independent assessment.

Platforms, cross-play, and save transfers
Thunder Lotus’s FAQ lists Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox, Xbox on PC, and Xbox Game Pass, and says players across versions can play together. It also says Early Access saves carry into the full version on the same platform or console, but cannot transfer between storefront accounts. These availability and account policies can change, so check the FAQ for the current details before choosing where to play.
