Blue Prince has six named permanent additions to unlock: the Apple Orchard, Gemstone Cavern, West Gate Path, Blackbridge Grotto, Satellite Dish, and Blue Tents. Their lasting benefits range from extra daily steps and gems to new room drafts, remote terminal access, and puzzle clues. This spoiler-forward guide covers each unlock route and distinguishes these additions from other permanent upgrades.

How do you unlock the Apple Orchard?
Go outside to the locked Orchard gate and enter 1128. The Orchard’s permanent reward is 20 additional steps per day, but the bonus starts the day after you unlock it rather than immediately. PowerPyx’s Orchard guide gives the code and timing.
How do you get two starting gems each day?
Draft the Utility Closet and interact with its Breaker Box. Solve the color-indicator puzzle to open a hidden section, then activate the switch inside to make the Gemstone Cavern benefit permanent.
Guides describe the target indicator sequence as gray (or off), blue, green, white, red, and purple. Because the first indicator is described differently, use the in-game clue and indicators rather than relying only on that written color label. How do you open the West Gate?
You need both the Utility Closet and Garage during the same run. In the Utility Closet, turn on the Garage breaker; then return to the Garage and press the door opener. Once outside, follow the path to the West Gate and open it from the outside. The route permanently opens the West Gate Path to the Outer Room, where you can draft additional rooms.

How do you unlock Blackbridge Grotto?
Power the Boiler Room and route its power to the Laboratory. Once the Laboratory’s control mechanism is active, flip lever 9, then lever 3. This opens Blackbridge Grotto.
In later runs, the Grotto lets you use one offline terminal per day without drafting the room containing that terminal. The exact wiring arrangement depends on which rooms you drafted. Gamepur’s Blackbridge Grotto instructions cover the lever sequence and route.

How do you unlock the Satellite Dish?
Unlock the Orchard first. You also need a fire source—the Self-Igniting Torch or Burning Glass—and three Microchips. The reported chip locations are:
- One in Blackbridge Grotto.
- One inside a vase in the Entrance Hall; break the vase with a sledgehammer or power hammer.
- One at the West Trail bridge, where a shovel can dig it up.
Take the fire source to the Orchard sundial and use it at the base to expose the slots. Insert all three Microchips to unlock the Satellite Dish. The described chip locations and sequence come from TheGamer’s Satellite Dish walkthrough; the walkthrough is less independently corroborated than the other unlock routes, so confirm item availability and interaction prompts in your game.

How do you unlock Blue Tents?
Reach Room 46 to add the Mount Holly Gift Shop to the draft pool. Draft the shop and spend 400 coins on Blue Tents. Afterward, Blue Memos appear on Rank 8 and provide puzzle information. See Gamepur’s Blue Tents guide.

Allowance Token

Upgrade Disks
Upgrade Disks belong to a separate manor-progression system. Take a disk to an eligible terminal and select one of the room enhancements offered there. Choices vary by terminal, and a selected room upgrade persists. The available guides do not provide a complete room-by-room catalogue, so examples should not be treated as exhaustive. Permanent rooms
“Permanent” can also refer to room categories rather than unlockable estate additions. The Blue Prince wiki’s room reference describes the Foundation and Entrance Hall as Permanent rooms; some objective rooms can remain fixed without belonging to that subtype.
