PC Gamer recommends Hydroponic Dome Complex, describing it as compact and rich in relevant container types. The guide also notes that it is often contested, so player traffic may affect how reliably you can search it.

Water Treatment Control and Power Generation Complex
PC Gamer also lists Water Treatment Control and Power Generation Complex as Industrial-area options. Search the relevant containers in each rather than assuming a Cooling Coil will appear at a particular point.
Loading Bay
MetaForge promotes Loading Bay as an alternate Dam route, citing its Industrial container density and describing it as less contested. That is a guide recommendation, not a verified yield guarantee.
Other maps and locations to try
Spaceport
PC Gamer lists Rocket Assembly, Container Storage, and Vehicle Maintenance as Industrial options on Spaceport. It specifically notes red lockers on the first and second floors of Rocket Assembly.
Blue Gate and Stella Montis
Shacknews lists Adorned Wreckage and Warehouse Complex on Blue Gate, and Loading Bay on Stella Montis. It also names Shipping Warehouses on Spaceport. These locations widen your options, though the reviewed guides show stronger overlap for the Dam Battlegrounds recommendations.

How to choose a route
There is no supported single winner: PC Gamer favors Hydroponic Dome Complex based on experience, while MetaForge presents Loading Bay as a lower-traffic alternative. Neither source demonstrates a universal best route with controlled drop data. Compare routes using the practical factors below.
- Industrial container density: Prefer routes where you can search several relevant containers without excessive detours.
- Player traffic: A contested location may be harder to search consistently; consider trying Loading Bay if Hydroponic Dome Complex is busy.
- ARC exposure and extraction distance: Balance the time spent searching against the danger and effort of reaching extraction.
- Other materials: Favor a route that also lets you collect resources you need, rather than pursuing a Cooling Coil at any cost.
Keep or salvage a Cooling Coil?
PC Gamer reports that Expedition stage two requires four Cooling Coils. It also reports that salvaging one yields six Chemicals and two Steel Springs, or that it can be sold for 1,000 coins. MetaForge lists the same four-Coil requirement and salvage breakdown. These are patch-sensitive details, and official game documentation was not available in the reviewed sources; check your current project screen before using a Coil needed for progression.

What is known about drop rates?
The available guides support an Industrial-area search strategy and offer location recommendations, but they do not establish official loot-table percentages, a controlled drop-rate dataset, or a guaranteed farming yield. Treat the named places and container types as route guidance, not promises that a Coil will spawn in a specific container or on every run. Game locations and item requirements can change with updates.
