If you want a Game Pass game built around huge cooperative battles, 33 Immortals is an easy one to consider. It combines drop-in raids for up to 33 players with repeatable roguelike runs and permanent upgrades. That makes “the most fun you can have” a matter of taste, not a provable ranking—but its unusual scale gives it a clear identity.
What makes 33 Immortals different
33 Immortals is a cooperative action roguelike from Thunder Lotus. Rather than requiring you to assemble a full raid group, it lets you enter alone or with friends and join a larger battle through instant matchmaking. Xbox says you can party with up to four friends before joining a raid of up to 33 players. Xbox’s game listing and Thunder Lotus’s FAQ describe the cooperative format.
Runs revolve around fighting groups of monsters and bosses, gathering resources, and unlocking permanent upgrades. The loop gives each raid a short-term objective while letting progress carry forward. It is a good fit if you enjoy learning encounters and building up a character over repeated attempts; that structure alone cannot guarantee every run will feel fresh.
Coordination without a premade raid team
The game’s design lowers the social barrier to a large co-op session: matchmaking fills out the raid, and in-game pings, emotes, and cooperative abilities provide ways to coordinate. Thunder Lotus says voice chat is not required. That may suit players who want shared action without arranging a full group or using voice, though it is not the same as a voice-led team experience.

Game Pass access and cloud play
As of October 7, 2026, Xbox lists 33 Immortals as included with Game Pass Premium and Ultimate, and marks it as cloud playable. The same Xbox listing says a purchase is required to stream it with Game Pass Essential. Catalog inclusion and cloud access can change, and availability can vary by region, so check your local Xbox listing before you subscribe or start playing.
The Xbox listing shows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. It also identifies online co-op for 33 players, cross-platform multiplayer, and Xbox Play Anywhere. Thunder Lotus separately confirms cross-platform play in its FAQ. Those features make the game a plausible pick for friends using different supported platforms, but they do not establish current player counts, matchmaking wait times, or performance.

Version 1.0 and release dates
Thunder Lotus announced that version 1.0 would end Early Access and launch worldwide on Steam, Xbox, and Epic Games Store on June 10, 2026. The developer said that release included three fully playable worlds, the final-boss encounter, balancing and polish work, quality-of-life improvements, and expanded customization. The June 5, 2026 announcement quotes Creative Director Stephan Logier calling version 1.0 “everything we wanted the game to become.”
Xbox’s listing gives June 11, 2026 as the release date. These are the dates shown in two different official records—the developer’s announced worldwide 1.0 date and the Xbox store date—so they should not be treated as a single platform-neutral timestamp.

Who should play it—and who may want something else
- Try it if you want cooperative action, large shared encounters, and a repeat-run progression loop.
- It may be less suited to you if you are looking primarily for a solo-first story, locally hosted play, or guaranteed voice-led coordination. Those are not the features emphasized in the official descriptions.
- For mixed-platform groups, cross-platform play is supported, but the official listings do not promise a particular matchmaking population or wait time.
Returning players: what happens to your save
Thunder Lotus says Early Access saves carry over when you stay on the same platform or console. Save data cannot transfer between storefront accounts, even if the accounts use the same email address. Take that into account before switching between Xbox, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
