Story spoilers: Idolator Sol is the boss at the end of Fortress Indomita in the Fadefields. Complete Rush the Gate to reach him. The key to the fight is a green Locust Canister: grapple it, throw it at Sol to break his invulnerability, then attack while he is exposed.
Where to find Idolator Sol
Sol waits at the end of Fortress Indomita in the Fadefields. You must complete the Rush the Gate mission to access the encounter. The Epic Games Store identifies the fight as the boss battle concluding the Fadefields campaign arc (Epic Games Store, September 11, 2025); Mobalytics also places him at Fortress Indomita (Mobalytics, October 6, 2025).

Idolator Sol’s reported drops
Mobalytics lists three weapons and four class mods as Sol drops. The available guides do not establish a reliable drop rate or guarantee that any particular item will drop, so treat this as a reported loot pool rather than a promise.

Mobalytics describes Onslaught’s effect as a “30% Chance for every bullet fired to deal extra damage and not consume ammo.” That figure describes the weapon’s effect, not the chance of receiving it from Sol. Game8’s search-result excerpt also names Onslaught, Goremaster, Golden God, Bio-Robot and Dancer, offering limited corroboration for part of the list (Game8, September 29, 2025).

How to make Sol vulnerable
- Look for the green pylon and Locust Canister. Sol is invulnerable during parts of the encounter; ordinary damage will not replace the vulnerability mechanic.
- Grapple the canister and throw it at Sol. A successful hit removes his invulnerability for a short time.
- Use the opening to deal damage. Be ready to repeat the canister mechanic when he becomes invulnerable again.
Both Epic’s fight guidance and Mobalytics describe the canister as the way to create a damage window (Epic Games Store; Mobalytics).
Stop Sol from healing
Sol summons Order guards during the fight. Kill them promptly: Epic says he can latch onto and consume guards to restore health. Mobalytics adds that killing an add during the sacrifice interrupts it and briefly stuns him. Prioritize the guard if Sol starts the feeding animation; it can prevent the heal and give you a short opening.

How to handle the arena hazards
Mobalytics describes three phases, with new abilities and altered versions of earlier attacks as Sol’s health bars are depleted. The exact attack mix changes, but these responses cover the hazards reported for the encounter:
- Falling rods and Locust Bomb: Dodge rods as they land. Use the Locust Bomb from the final rod when the opportunity appears.
- Armor throws and shield charges: Side-step or dash clear rather than standing in their path.
- Tracking beam: Run laterally away from it.
- Sword sweep: Jump over the sweep.
- Locust Storm: Move into a safe zone when corrupted energy covers the arena, and reposition if the safe area shifts.
- Floor fissures: Watch for cracks and their delayed eruptions; avoid crossing active fissures.
- Final-phase boundary: Keep space from the damaging outer wall. Several attacks can add ruptures or follow-up impacts, so avoid being knocked toward the arena edge.
Epic’s broader advice likewise emphasizes using safe zones when corrupted energy covers sections of the arena and removing Sol’s invulnerability with the canister (Epic Games Store).
