ARC Raiders does not automatically wipe everyone’s progress. The Expedition Project is an optional reset: prepare the Caravan, then sign up during the announced departure window and complete that Expedition’s requirements. Finishing the Caravan by itself does not enroll you. Embark’s fifth Expedition window ran September 8–29, 2026, and the studio said Expeditions would pause until early 2027 for major improvements. The next date and rules have not been announced.
How an ARC Raiders Expedition reset works
The Expedition Project unlocks at level 20, according to Embark’s Help Center overview. It gives a player the choice to depart with a reset rather than imposing a global wipe on every Raider.
For the fifth Expedition, Embark’s cycle-specific instructions required players to complete the Caravan, wait for the official sign-up window, sign up separately, meet that cycle’s challenge requirements, use any eligible catch-up option, and depart on the announced date. Embark explicitly cautioned that completing the Caravan does not sign you up. Rules can vary from one Expedition to another, so the announcement for the active cycle takes precedence over the general overview.
The fifth Expedition’s window has closed
The fifth sign-up window opened September 8, 2026 at 11:00 UTC and closed September 29 at 08:00 UTC. There was no Last Call for that cycle, so players who missed the window could not count on a later grace period. Embark called it the last Expedition until early 2027, when the system is expected to return with major improvements; the studio has not announced the return date or finalized future mechanics. What resets and what carries over
Embark’s Help Center lists the following as the general reset and carryover baseline. Later cycle announcements may change or qualify it.

For the fifth Expedition, quest reset was optional: players could keep their quest progress instead of resetting it. Embark also said partially completed Caravans would be replaced with Ermal Vouchers during the pause. These fifth-cycle details should not be assumed to apply unchanged to a future Expedition.
Do quests reset in ARC Raiders?
Not necessarily. The general reset list is a baseline, but the fifth Expedition let players choose whether to reset quests or retain their progress. Check the announcement for the cycle you are considering before departing; the fifth-cycle exception does not establish the rule for the next Expedition.
Rewards and challenge rules have changed between Expeditions
There is no single permanent stash threshold or challenge that describes every Expedition. Embark has changed how challenge rewards work across cycles:
- First Expedition: Embark described stash value as the basis for earning up to five extra skill points, alongside permanent cosmetics and stash space and temporary account buffs. This was a first-cycle rule, not a guarantee for later departures. Details appear in the first Expedition announcement.
- Third Expedition: The skill-point challenge was based on damage dealt during a five-day window. Embark’s April 17, 2026 update extended that window through May 11 and listed that cycle’s damage requirements: third Expedition update.
- Fourth Expedition: The challenge offered Blueprints and Raider Tokens instead of new skill points. Embark said each completion added 12 stash spaces, up to 60 total, and the maximum bonus skill points from Expeditions was 15; eligible players could catch up on previously missed skill points. - Fifth Expedition: Rewards included a complete Zenith Outfit, mystery rewards, and another 12 stash spaces up to the 60-space cap. Eligible players on their second, third, or fourth Expedition could catch up on as many as five missed skill points, tied to stash value and subject to the 15-point maximum. Consecutive XP, Scrappy-material, and repair-value buffs were capped at three levels.
For a future departure, rely on its own announcement for the current challenge, rewards, and catch-up eligibility rather than carrying over a historical rule.
Is the Expedition Project mandatory?
No. The Expedition Project is optional; declining to depart avoids that Expedition’s reset. Embark described it as a way to address problems associated with mandatory wipes while respecting players’ time investment in its first-cycle announcement.

When is the next ARC Raiders Expedition?
Embark’s latest announcement says the fifth Expedition was the last until early 2027 and that the system would return with major improvements. No exact date or final rules for that return have been announced. Check Embark’s official announcements for the next window and confirm its sign-up step, reset choices, challenge, and rewards before making plans.
