If Battlefield 6 attachments won’t equip, first check whether you selected a special Weapon Package instead of the standard factory weapon. Some packages have fixed attachments. The factory weapon must be unlocked and progressed for free customization; then check the attachment’s own unlock requirement and the weapon’s Attachment Point limit. If attachments still vanish from a valid Loadout, EA has acknowledged reports of missing weapon attachments, but its September 15, 2026 notice did not provide a workaround or confirm a resolution.
1. Check whether you are using a Weapon Package or the factory weapon
A special Weapon Package is a preconfigured version of a base weapon, not the same thing as the standard factory weapon. Some packages have a fixed attachment set, and those attachments do not carry over to the factory version. EA’s guidance on attachment access says you need to unlock the standard factory weapon to customize its attachments.
In Loadouts, select the factory version if you want to change its configuration. If it is still locked, unlock it through the relevant progression or assignment path.
2. Confirm the weapon and attachment unlocks
Unlocking a weapon does not necessarily unlock every attachment for it. EA says to progress the standard weapon through use, and to check the specific requirement shown for the attachment in-game. If an attachment is unavailable, verify that requirement rather than relying only on the weapon’s unlocked status.

3. Check the Attachment Point total
Each weapon has a limited Attachment Point allowance. An attachment can be unlocked but still not fit alongside the rest of your selected setup if the combination exceeds that limit. Check the displayed costs and remove another attachment if needed. EA describes the point system in its Loadout Creation and Weapon Classes guide, published July 21, 2026 and marked recently updated for Season 4.
4. Edit and verify the setup in Loadouts
- Open Loadouts from the main menu, next to Play.
- Select the primary or secondary weapon you want to configure, then choose the factory version if you need freely changeable attachments.
- Check the attachment’s unlock requirement and the weapon’s Attachment Point total, then apply the configuration.
- Use the Loadout Firing Range to check the setup. Confirm that the selected attachments remain in the configuration.

5. If attachments disappear from a valid Loadout, check for a game-side issue
If you have the factory weapon, meet the attachment unlock requirement, stay within the point limit, and still see attachments missing or disappearing, the problem may not be your progression. In its September 15, 2026 known-issues announcement, the official Battlefield community account said it was investigating reports of missing weapon attachments. The notice did not give a player-side workaround or say the investigation had ended. Check current official Battlefield notices for status changes.
If you report the problem, include the weapon and attachment names, your platform, and steps that reproduce the issue. These details can help describe what is happening; EA’s announcement did not specify them as required reporting information.

6. Distinguish current reports from narrow defects addressed in updates
EA’s August 3, 2026 update 1.4.1.5 notes list several specific corrections: M123K underbarrel attachment models not updating when the equipped underbarrel changed; a blank Loadouts screen after returning from the Weapon Package menu via a Battlefield Pro Challenge deep link; and a PC NVIDIA driver crash triggered by changing SOR-300SC attachments, among other triggers. These fixes address those particular symptoms, not every case of attachments failing to equip.
An EA search-indexed excerpt for update 1.4.3.0 says a defect that caused Hardware attachments to disappear from Loadouts after viewing their Challenge unlock requirements was corrected. Because the update page could not be opened directly, treat that specific detail as less firmly verified than the published 1.4.1.5 notes.
What is not established as a reliable fix
The available official notices do not establish restarting the client, verifying game files, reinstalling, changing peripherals, or buying hardware as reliable fixes for this attachment issue. EA’s missing-attachments notice documented an investigation, not a guaranteed player-side remedy.
