Thor configurations and why exact tier prices need checking
AYN lists five Thor configurations: Lite (8GB/128GB), Base (8GB/128GB), Pro (12GB/256GB), Max (16GB/512GB) and Max (16GB/1TB). The official page’s retrieved text shows the Thor starting at $259 but does not provide current prices for each option. Because earlier price schedules are superseded, they cannot reliably establish what a particular Thor configuration costs now. Check the live selector before choosing a tier.

Why AYN raised prices
Android Authority’s March 2 report attributed that round of increases to AYN citing higher DRAM and storage costs, exchange-rate volatility and other material costs. The publication quoted an unnamed AYN representative: “Our DRAM and storage supplier has officially confirmed that starting with February orders, DRAM and storage costs are increasing,” and “Based on the information we’ve received, memory pricing pressure is expected to continue for approximately the next year.” That second sentence was the company’s expectation at the time, not a verified forecast for the present.
Android Authority’s June 29 coverage described the July adjustment as another increase and reported that AYN announced it through Discord. Its broader discussion of memory shortages is the publication’s framing, distinct from the direct AYN attribution above.
