The guide ranks specializations for PvE and cautions that the ordering is not absolute; player skill can help a lower-ranked option perform well. The descriptions below reflect the guide’s reasoning, not measured DPS, healing, win rates, or leaderboard results.

How to use the rankings to choose a specialization
Start with the role your party needs
Choose damage, tanking, or healing and support before treating the tier letter as decisive. Beat Performer has both damage-linked support and dedicated-healing approaches; Verdant Oracle includes healing-oriented specializations; Heavy Guardian and Shield Knight fill tank roles. If your group needs a specific job, a suitable lower-tier pick may be more useful than an S-tier specialization that does not fill it.

Match the specialization to the encounter
A single overall PvE list compresses different jobs into one order. Iaido Slash is aimed at bosses and elite targets, while Frostbeam is presented as better suited to farming. Twin Striker offers close-range area damage. Consider whether the content rewards single-target output, area damage, survival, or group utility rather than assuming one ranking applies equally to all of them.
Factor in execution and gear
The guide describes Iaido Slash as timing-sensitive and Moonstrike as gear-dependent. Its class descriptions also characterize Iaido Slash as stat-sensitive and Lifebind as a relatively accessible healing option. A specialization’s tier label cannot account for your build, equipment, or ability to execute its rotation.

The October 2 ranking predates the developers’ Season 4 maintenance announcement for October 8, 2026. The official announcement says advanced attributes are adjusted each season and lists conversion changes affecting Crit, Luck, Haste, Mastery, Versatility, and Block. Those changes may affect specialization performance, so the Version 2.1 ordering should not be assumed to hold after the update. The official team’s stated reason for seasonal attribute increases was: “To help different Class Specs grow more quickly, these attributes are moderately increased each season so Adventurers can smoothly achieve intended combat rotations and performance.” See the official Season 4 update announcement for the dated details.
Roster and naming caveats
Older launch-era references count eight classes, but that is not a complete current roster: the publisher’s listing says Season 3 added Twin Striker, a close-range class that uses dual axes. Pocket Gamer’s newest guide includes Twin Striker but also says there are eight classes and two specializations apiece, a count that conflicts with its own included roster and should be treated as stale or internally inconsistent. An older fan-made list dated October 26, 2025 separates performance in Dragon Raids and Chaotic Realm and differs from the newer overall PvE ordering; its publisher says it is unaffiliated. That contrast is a reason to read any tier list alongside its date, patch, and mode—not evidence that one ordering is universally correct.
