That distinction matters for a game built around survival systems: SEGA describes S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 as a single-player survival-horror first-person shooter in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, with an Unreal Engine 5 open world and item management. SEGA’s release description outlines the game, while the PlayStation product page highlights scarce resources, equipment wear, survival threats, and consequential choices. None of those details changes what GSC’s brief gold announcement establishes.
Platforms and physical-edition context
The original November 2024 release was for PC and Xbox Series X|S. Edition and format details depend on platform and market, so the available regional listing should not be generalized into a worldwide physical-release claim.
