When did Season 4 Reloaded release?
Activision confirmed that Season 04 Reloaded arrived Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 9AM PT across platforms. Its announcement was published June 26, 2025. Activision’s full debrief gives the launch date and update details.

Before Activision’s announcement, an Insider Gaming preview published June 19 forecast June 26, based on the Battle Pass schedule and previous update timing. That was a pre-announcement expectation, not the actual release date.
What changed with the Fringe remake?
Fringe returned as a reimagined, medium-sized Core map for 6v6. The map first appeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3; this version is set during the grand opening of the Rolling Hills distillery. Activision’s map description names several play spaces: the Bar, central Road, Barn, House and Loading zone.

Activision classifies the map as “Remaster, Core, 6v6, Medium-Sized.” The description establishes its setting and named areas, but does not specify how much the layout changed from the earlier map.
How did Resurgence Ranked Play work in the update?
Season 04 Reloaded brought Resurgence Ranked Play back to Rebirth Island, with squads of three competing under a competitive ruleset and earning ranked progression. The official update announcement and the Season 04 page both describe the mode as Trios on Rebirth Island.

What else was included?
The July 2 update also added Eclipse, a small Strike map for 6v6 and 2v2 set in an underground Avalon nightclub, along with cel-shaded map playlists and Party Ops. Zombies received limited-time content. Warzone additions included Havoc Royale and Resurgence Casual, as well as the Door Barricade Field Upgrade and Loot Master Perk for Battle Royale.
