Blue Prince has no single best room for every run. Prioritize the Drafting Studio when you want lasting access to more rooms; choose supporting rooms such as the Drawing Room, Pool, or Conservatory according to whether you need more choice, a temporary pool expansion, or control over rarity.
Why the Drafting Studio is the top long-term priority
The Drafting Studio is the clearest pick when your goal is to expand what may appear in future drafts. Jason Rodriguez’s GameSpot guide, published April 10, 2025, says the room adds rooms to the draft pool and unlocks rooms including the Dormitory, Casino, and Clock Tower. A fan room reference also lists it as unlocking Studio Additions.

Think of this as a progression investment, not a promise about your next choice: adding rooms to the pool broadens future possibilities but does not guarantee that a particular room will be offered. The official Blue Prince website explains that the floor plan resets each day while permanent estate upgrades persist, so a lasting pool expansion can outlive the layout in which you found it.

- DRAFTING YOUR JOURNEY - Upon reaching a closed door in Mt. Holly, you decide what room appears behind it and each decision shapes your path as you navigate through the manor. Every door can reveal new and exciting chambers that contain their own unique challenges and secrets. But be careful how you draft, for each day the manor’s floor plan resets and the rooms you saw today may not be the same rooms you see tomorrow.
- EVERY STEP COUNTS - Your progress each day is shaped by the rooms you select to draft and the tools you find within them. Items in the game can be used in a number of creative ways to fuel your exploration deeper into the house, allowing you to adopt unique strategies to combat the challenges that each day brings.
- A HISTORY IN THE MAKING - As the heir of Mt. Holly, you have been tasked to explore its shifting halls in search of Room 46. Yet as your journey takes you further into the mansion’s depths, you start to discover that there is more lurking under the surface than a missing room. Investigate a past woven with the threads of blackmail, political intrigue, and the mysterious disappearance of a local children’s book author.
- DAY ONE EDITION BONUSES - Pack-in bonuses include 18” x 12” fold-out poster of the magnificent Mt. Holly Manor and a download code for the official game soundtrack.
| Room | What it does | Best reason to prioritize it | Scope |
|---|---|---|---|
| Drawing Room | Reported to provide one free redraw per draft. | You want another chance when the offered rooms do not fit your route. | Choice flexibility; a redraw does not guarantee a named room. |
| Pool | According to GameSpot, adds the Locker Room, Sauna, and Pump Room to that day’s options. | One or more of those rooms support your current objective. | Temporary addition to the day’s pool. |
| Conservatory | GameSpot describes it as allowing room rarities to be adjusted. | You have a target room and want to change the rarity mix. | Odds are not quantified by the source. |
| Drafting Studio | Adds rooms to the draft pool and unlocks Studio Additions, according to GameSpot and the fan room reference. | You want broader room access over time. | Long-term pool expansion, not a guaranteed immediate offer. |
Drawing Room: improve a disappointing offer
The Wiki.gg search extract and a fan room reference report one free redraw per draft. That can help when the available rooms do not serve your route, but it changes your choice opportunity rather than guaranteeing a particular result. This mechanic is corroborated by guide references; the Wiki.gg page itself was not accessible for direct verification.
Pool: add options for today
GameSpot says the Pool adds the Locker Room, Sauna, and Pump Room to that day’s options. It is most useful when those rooms’ benefits match what you are trying to accomplish now. Unlike the Drafting Studio’s lasting pool expansion, the Pool’s described effect is limited to the day.

Conservatory: adjust rarity for a target
GameSpot describes the Conservatory as a way to tweak room rarities, which may help when you have a particular room in mind. The guide does not give numerical odds, so treat it as a way to alter the rarity mix—not a calculated guarantee that a target will appear.
Use the run’s objective to judge room value
Room value depends on what you are trying to do and what you have already drafted. GameSpot’s broader room guide gives examples of goal-specific combinations: Nursery with bedrooms for steps, Security with the Utility Closet for managing keycard doors, and Conference Room with rooms that spread resources. These are synergies, not Drafting Studio upgrades; they illustrate why a room’s value can change with the route.

- Need future access? Favor the Drafting Studio when it appears.
- Need a better choice among current offers? The Drawing Room’s reported redraw effect may help.
- Need specific options today? Consider the Pool only when its added rooms suit this run.
- Have a target room in mind? The Conservatory may be useful for adjusting rarity, but the resulting odds are not established.
How to choose without overvaluing a room
- Decide whether this is a progression or immediate-run choice. The Drafting Studio is the standout for longer-term access; the Pool and choice-control effects address current drafting needs.
- Check whether the room’s effect matches your route. A temporary pool expansion matters only if its added rooms help, while a redraw matters when the current offers are poor fits.
- Account for the draft choice you spend. A room’s effect has to justify taking it over the other available rooms and the route those choices support.
- Reassess after unlocks. The official site says the daily floor plan resets, while permanent estate upgrades persist. A broader pool changes future possibilities, not the fact that each day brings a new layout.
There are no source-supported numerical odds for comparing these effects. The useful distinction is what each room changes: lasting access, temporary availability, rarity, or freedom to redraw.
