Yes—Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (2023) has an open-world Zombies mode. It is different from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011), whose Special Ops mode includes Survival, not Zombies.
Which Modern Warfare game has Zombies?
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (2023) is the Modern Warfare entry with an officially confirmed Zombies mode. Activision describes it as an open-world, player-versus-environment (PvE) survival experience. It is not presented as the traditional round-based format.
The mode is built around Operation Deadbolt, with open-world activities including Contracts and systems such as Acquisitions, Schematics, and Aether Tools. Activision’s Modern Warfare Zombies launch overview describes those elements.
Does Modern Warfare 3 (2011) have Zombies?
No. The 2011 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 manual lists Story, Special Ops, and Multiplayer. Special Ops includes Survival, a separate mode from Zombies. So if someone says “MW3 has Zombies,” clarify whether they mean the 2011 game or Modern Warfare III (2023).

What about Modern Warfare (2019)?
The 2019 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare reboot documents Campaign, Multiplayer, and cooperative Special Ops. Its official announcement does not list Zombies among those modes. Special Ops is a co-op option, but it should not be confused with Zombies.
Activision’s Modern Warfare III announcement characterizes the 2023 Zombies mode as an open-world PvE experience.

Check the year and title styling when searching or recommending a game: Modern Warfare 3 (2011) and Modern Warfare III (2023) are separate releases. For Zombies, look for the 2023 game and verify the platform and edition in the current listing.
