The Advanced Sub-Fief Console lets you claim land for a base and, unlike the regular Sub-Fief Console, expand the plot with staking units. A June–July 2025 Game8 guide reports that unlocking it requires Construction research and the Moving On journey, and crafting it costs 40 Salvaged Metal. Its footprint, power, and other details below come from community sources and a third-party database, so check the live game when a patch-sensitive value matters.
What the Advanced Sub-Fief Console does
Building the console claims land for your base. The community wiki says its plot can be extended using staking units, while regular Sub-Fief Console plots cannot be expanded. The wiki reports a maximum footprint of 10 × 10 foundations and a maximum height of 12 foundations. These are community-reported limits, not figures confirmed in official documentation.

A community planning tool indicates that the console can be extended up to five times, but this count is not established by the other sources here. Treat it as a planning estimate and verify it in your current build before laying out a base around it.
How to unlock and build it
Game8’s June–July 2025 guide gives this route to the console. Requirements and crafting details are guide-reported and may change with game updates.

Why the console may have no power
Players troubleshooting an unpowered console advise placing a generator within the land claim and fueling it. This is community troubleshooting advice rather than official documentation; the player discussion does not establish a precise range or confirm that every power problem has the same cause.
Before changing your base, check that a generator is within the claimed area and has fuel. If the console still shows no power, consult current in-game power information or updated community guidance, since the available sources do not establish a definitive troubleshooting procedure.

- Step into the world of Dune and explore an immersive, open world Arrakis, from sandworm-infested deserts to the sprawling city of Arrakeen
- Experience a unique, cinematic Dune story that gives clear meaning and purpose to your otherwise freeform survival crafting journey
- From the slow blade to epic firepower, train and progress as a Swordmaster, Bene Gesserit, Trooper, and Mentat to unlock their signature weapons and abilities
- Rise from survival to greatness as you grow your own piece of Arrakis from a modest crafting base into a sprawling fortress, or secure your fortune by chasing spice blows and running your own spice-refining operation
- Play single-player and customize every aspect of your experience, or go online to team up with friends on private or public multiplayer servers
Is the Advanced Sub-Fief Console the right choice?
Choose it if you need an extensible land claim and are prepared to meet the guide-reported research, journey, and material requirements. If you do not need a larger or expandable plot, the sources do not establish a current gameplay advantage that makes the advanced console objectively better. Compare your intended build footprint with the reported limits, and verify the requirements in your live game before committing resources.
Official documentation confirming these mechanics was not available among the cited sources. The unlock route is from a 2025 guide, the plot details from a community wiki, and the listed stats from a third-party database; live-game values may differ after updates.
