In Once Human, “accessories” means weapon attachments and related items—not wearable cosmetics. As of the June 22, 2026 update, unlock the accessories you want through Collection progression using Precision Components: Blue costs 1, Purple costs 2, and Gold costs 4. The full live-game item list and compatibility are best checked in the in-game interface, since published catalog counts and older location guides are not authoritative current inventories.
What counts as an accessory in Once Human?
Weapon accessories alter or support a weapon through attachment slots and related item categories. A third-party catalog groups entries into sights, muzzles, grips, magazines, stocks, and ammo types. It lists 305 attachments, but that is the database’s count—not an official total or a guarantee that it matches the current live game. Browse the Once Human Database attachments catalog.
Because the live inventory can change, use the in-game Collection and weapon interfaces to confirm an item’s current effect and which weapons accept it. The catalog is useful for browsing, but its count should not be treated as a complete official checklist.
How do you unlock accessories now?
The Once Human Development Team’s June 22, 2026 update introduced direct unlocks through the Collection system: obtain Precision Components through Collection progression, then spend the required amount to unlock a selected accessory. The published costs are:

The update says wilderness game modes and tasks no longer directly provide accessories, and accessories are no longer redeemable at the Morphic Shop or from merchants. Previously unlocked accessories and their unlock status are retained. Read the official June 22, 2026 accessory and Collection update for the change.
What changed about accessory effects?
In January 2026, the developers standardized bonuses for accessories of the same type and quality, clarified descriptions as percentage-based where applicable, and consolidated reload-related attributes under “Reload Efficiency.” The January 13 blog says this consolidation does not change actual reload duration. It gives Rare-quality 2x scopes as an example: each provides 2.0x zoom and +4% Accuracy. The January 13 developer blog explains the design change; the version 2.3.1 announcement from January 21 confirms the simplified system and optimized accessories interface.

Standardization makes it easier to compare items within a type and quality, but it does not mean every slot serves the same purpose. Read the exact live effect label rather than assuming an older guide’s stat description still applies.
How to compare accessories for a build
- Start with the slot or type. Decide whether the weapon needs a sight, muzzle, grip, magazine, stock, or another compatible item.
- Check weapon compatibility. Verify the attachment on the weapon itself; a catalog entry or old guide does not establish that it fits every weapon.
- Match the effect to the build. For sights, consider magnification and Accuracy. For other types, compare the precise effect labels shown in the current game.
- Compare quality within type. The January 2026 changes standardize bonuses among accessories of the same type, making type and quality relevant to a like-for-like comparison.
- Spend components deliberately. Since Blue, Purple, and Gold unlocks have different costs, prioritize accessories that fit weapons and builds you actually use.
Are old accessory-location guides still useful?
Older guides describe named accessories and map puzzles across regions, but they predate the 2026 acquisition changes. For example, Prima Games’ July 2024 location guide is historical context, not a dependable route for unlocking accessories in the current system. The June 2026 update supersedes those former direct acquisition routes; use Collection progression and the in-game interface for current unlocks and item details.
