Alien: Rogue Incursion is a single-player action-horror game set in the Alien universe. Survios announced it with 20th Century Games on April 26, 2024, as a VR game; the official site now lists the VR edition for PS VR2, Steam VR and Meta Quest 3, as well as a separate non-VR Evolved Edition for console and PC.
What is Alien: Rogue Incursion about?
You play as Zula Hendricks, an ex-Colonial Marine investigating an SOS on Purdan, also known as LV-354. With help from her synth companion Davis 01, she explores Castor’s Cradle, a facility operated by Gemini Exoplanet Solutions (GES).
Survios describes the game as Part One of a two-part story: this installment can stand alone, but ends on a cliffhanger. Its May 2024 gameplay reveal called it a single-player action-horror shooter built with Unreal Engine 5. TQ Jefferson, Survios’s chief product officer, wrote that players would “need to stay frosty” while exploring an overrun facility on Purdan. PlayStation Blog, May 30, 2024.
What does the gameplay involve?
Survios says the experience combines exploration, resource scavenging, stealth and combat. Xenomorphs can move through walls, ceilings, ducts and tunnels, making encounters unpredictable and rewarding attention to the environment. These are the developer’s descriptions of the game, not independent review findings.

In the VR edition, the developer describes physical interactions such as opening doors, peering around corners, holstering weapons and retrieving ammunition. The official announcement presented the project as Survios’s most ambitious VR game at that time. Survios: Alien: Rogue Incursion.
Which platforms can you play it on?
The available platform depends on which edition you choose. Survios currently lists the VR edition for PS VR2, Steam VR and Meta Quest 3. Its official site separately lists Alien: Rogue Incursion — Part One: Evolved Edition, described as re-envisioned for console and PC.

Does Alien: Rogue Incursion require VR?
Not if you choose the Evolved Edition. It is a separate version re-envisioned for console and PC, so do not confuse it with the original VR edition. Which headset do you need for the VR edition?
- PlayStation: The PS5 VR version requires PS VR2, according to the PlayStation Store listing.
- PC: Survios lists the game for Steam VR. Confirm compatibility for your headset and setup in the Steam listing before purchase.
- Meta Quest: The official site lists Meta Quest 3. Check the store listing for the edition and headset compatibility available in your region.
These platform options are not interchangeable: owning one headset does not establish that it works with every version.
When was it announced and released?
Survios announced Alien: Rogue Incursion in collaboration with 20th Century Games on April 26, 2024, calling it an original, multi-platform action-horror VR game for PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest 3 and PCVR. That is the announcement context, not a complete account of the game’s later editions.

The PlayStation Store gives December 19, 2024 as the release date for its PS5 VR listing. That date applies to the PlayStation listing; it should not be treated as a universal release date for every platform or for the later Evolved Edition. PlayStation Store listing.
