How to unlock the appearance editor
PCGamesN says the “Disguise” option becomes available during the early quest chain that starts with taking Ruby to the General’s Shrine. Continue through the Faceless Ones sequence, speak with Cheng Xin after the shrine section, then return the Jade Flute. The Disguise option takes you back to the character-creation screen. How to reopen customization later
After unlocking the option, the same guide gives this route from the main menu: Appearance → Appearance, then press Space on PC to enter customization. A player-authored Steam guide describes a related route through Appearance → Wardrobe → Appearance, followed by choosing a face preset. Menu labels and controls can vary by platform, so follow the prompt shown in your game. Steam Community guide

A Global guide reviewed July 19, 2026 lists a Water Lady Script at 200 Echo Jades. That is a reported listing, not a guaranteed price for every region, platform, or future update; the guide warns that prices and free-ticket availability can change. Can you change gender or body type?
PCGamesN says gender cannot be changed through the Disguise flow. The available reporting does not establish a separate, currently reliable method for changing body type, so do not assume that the appearance editor can do either. Check the options presented in your current game client before using an item or confirming an edit.
