Yes. In the current version of Avowed, use the mirror at Party Camp to change your character’s appearance, including species. The character remains Godlike; the creator lets you choose how that manifestation looks.
How to change your appearance in Avowed
Go to Party Camp and interact with the mirror. Obsidian says the mirror lets you change your appearance, including species, at any time. This is the current answer; launch-era reports that appearance could not be changed are out of date following the anniversary update. Obsidian’s anniversary update announcement documents the feature.
Can you change your race or species?
Yes. The anniversary update added Dwarves, Orlans, and Aumaua to Humans and Elves, and the mirror also allows existing characters to change species. Species affect both appearance and character stats, so changing one can alter your attribute bonuses.

What does it mean that the player character is Godlike?
Your character is Godlike, but that does not lock you into one fixed appearance. During character creation, you choose how their divine manifestation looks. In a 2024 interview, Game Director Carrie Patel said, “With Avowed you can choose exactly what that manifestation looks like.” She also explained that people in the game react to Godlikes differently according to culture and individual perspective: “Some people think that’s very cool, some people think it’s very spooky.” Read the Xbox Wire interview with Carrie Patel.

Obsidian confirms that the mirror changes appearance and species, but its announcement does not enumerate every individual control available there. It therefore establishes that appearance can be revised after creation, not whether a particular face, hair, body, or Godlike-feature slider is included.
