Wedding Season runs June 1–30 in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Visit Harvey’s Island, decorate the photo room to match Reese’s request, and take the picture to earn a Wedding Series item and Heart Crystals. Spend those crystals with Cyrus for additional items; the photo plate and two DIY recipes are separate milestone rewards.
When is Wedding Season?
Nintendo’s event announcement gives the dates as June 1–30 and says the wedding photos take place on Harvey’s Island. As Nintendo put it, “Since Reese and Cyrus got married in the month of June, it’s now their tradition to take weddings photos on Harvey’s Island every June.” The announcement is from 2021, so these dates describe the recurring event schedule; it does not confirm current shop inventory.
Nintendo also said wedding-themed furniture and fashion items would be available through Nook Shopping and Able Sisters during June. The announcement names those shop categories, not a complete or currently verified inventory list. Nintendo’s Wedding Season announcement.
How to complete the photo event
- Go to Harvey’s Island. Speak with Harvey to enter the photo studio where Reese and Cyrus are waiting.
- Decorate the room for Reese’s requested theme. Place wedding-themed furniture and adjust the scene to fit the theme she gives you as the event progresses.
- Take the requested photo. Reese rewards you with a Wedding Series item and Heart Crystals. The quality of the decoration affects the number of crystals earned.
- Talk to Cyrus to exchange crystals. He offers Wedding Series items in return for Heart Crystals. The community reference reports a limit of up to eight purchases per day.

Milestone rewards are not Cyrus purchases
Some rewards arrive automatically as you progress through the photo sessions. They do not cost Heart Crystals and are separate from Cyrus’s exchange list.

These are in-game currency costs, not real-money prices. Cyrus’s list spans furniture, clothing, floorings, rugs, and walls.

How many Heart Crystals should you save?
New Horizons HQ estimates that the base reward set costs 261 Heart Crystals. The same guide estimates 463 crystals to collect every listed furniture variation and says that total cannot be reached in one year. If you are aiming for particular items, prioritize those before spending crystals on lower-priority pieces: the daily purchase limit and the number of crystals you earn from each photo session affect how quickly you can complete the set.

- Take in-game photos of your designs and add them to your portfolio. Show them to other characters and you may get more requests to create vacation homes. Share the photos with other players using the in-game Showroom in the Happy Home Network app and they can tour your personally-designed resort islands or go tour theirs for some relaxation and inspiration.
- Purchase the Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise DLC from Nintendo eShop, or download and play it as part of an active Nintendo Switch Online plus Expansion Pack membership at no extra cost.
If the event does not appear
Nintendo says changing the system clock will not trigger events. If Wedding Season does not appear on a scheduled day, Nintendo suggests restarting the game while connected to the internet. Its announcement does not specify further troubleshooting steps.
