Dexerto reported in February 2022 that Apex Legends streamer Svend-Erik “Taxi2g” Høegh had been banned for using an ult-dash movement glitch. The report said the glitch still worked in Season 12, but the available information does not establish whether Respawn later fixed it. A separate exploit fix announced in 2026 involved Ballistic’s Sling and server crashes—not Taxi2g’s movement glitch.
Why Taxi2g was banned
In a February 13, 2022 report, Dexerto said Taxi2g received a month-long suspension after using an “ult dash” glitch in Apex Legends. The report said he was banned on stream, then banned again on new accounts as he attempted to evade the suspension. These are details reported at the time, not a statement about his account status today.

Dexerto described the glitch as a movement exploit: a player began an Ultimate animation, pressed melee, and swapped weapons. The resulting movement could carry a player across the map at very high speed. The report said it worked with Caustic, Bangalore, Gibraltar, and other Legends whose Ultimates could be deployed.
What “unbanned” meant in the 2022 headline
Dexerto’s headline called Taxi2g “unbanned,” but its account was more qualified: his month-long suspension was expected to end around February 12, 2022, based on his account of messages with Respawn anti-cheat developer Conor “Hideouts” Ford. The report noted that he had not yet entered public matches while streaming his return. Taxi2g also posted on February 12, “It’s good to be back 😎🏄”. Did Respawn fix the ult-dash glitch?
Dexerto said Taxi2g tested the glitch in the Firing Range and found it still worked in Season 12, shortly after the season launched. That is a historical report of a test in the Firing Range. It does not establish whether the glitch worked the same way in live matches, whether Respawn later patched it, or whether it is possible today.
Respawn’s October 1, 2026 anti-cheat update does not answer that question. It describes a different exploit in which a modified client abused Ballistic’s Sling to duplicate weapon optics, overloading servers and causing matches to become unresponsive or crash. Respawn said it had fixed that exploit, permanently banned the suspected user, and was taking action against accounts found using it.
