Astartes II is scheduled to arrive in December 2026 on Warhammer TV, where it will be available to Warhammer+ subscribers. Games Workshop has announced the month but not a specific release day. The update narrows the broader 2026 target first given in January 2025.
When does Astartes II come out?
Games Workshop’s latest announcement, published 18 September 2026, sets Astartes II for December 2026. It will be released on Warhammer TV and available to watch with a Warhammer+ subscription. The announcement does not give an exact day. Warhammer Community’s release update is the current timing to rely on.
How the release window changed
When Games Workshop announced Astartes II on 29 January 2025, it said the animation was “set to land in 2026.” That was a year-long target, not a specific release date. The September 2026 update refined it to December. The original announcement also said production work was underway and that the Warhammer Studio was working with Syama, creator of the original Astartes animation.
What the teasers show—and what they do not
The January 2025 teaser
The first teaser was not footage from the new animation. Games Workshop explained that its shots represented the former lives of characters who would appear in the show. They should not be treated as scenes from the finished series.

The September 2026 teaser
The newer teaser identifies Deathwatch and Terminators. Its official video listing describes it as a 42-second trailer and carries the line “Deathwatch. Terminators. Coming to Warhammer+ this December.” That duration is for the teaser, not the animation. Watch the official teaser listing.
Warhammer Community says the trailer evokes “strong Space Hulk vibes,” but that is an impression, not confirmation that Astartes II adapts a Space Hulk story. The announcements do not provide a plot synopsis or identify every character or Chapter.
