Which Madden NFL 24 modes can you play offline?
For a solo or local game, check Quick Play and other local-play options in the game. EA’s Madden NFL 24 guide confirms which menus appear on each platform generation, but it does not mark those menus as online or offline. Treat Quick Play as a practical place to start, not as an official guarantee that every mode works offline.

EA’s current Madden connection guidance says offline modes should still be available when EA servers are unavailable. It names Ultimate Team and online Franchise as server-connected examples. Because the page’s specific examples include Madden NFL 27, apply its general guidance to Madden NFL 24 with that limitation in mind: EA’s Madden NFL connection troubleshooting guidance.
Does Madden NFL 24 need internet?
Not for every kind of play: EA’s guidance distinguishes offline modes from experiences that connect to its servers. You do need server connectivity for Ultimate Team and online Franchise. A server outage therefore does not necessarily prevent all Madden play, but it can make those connected modes unavailable.

That is different from setting up the game for the first time. The available guidance does not establish whether Madden NFL 24 requires an online sign-in, ownership check, or internet connection for installation on every platform. It also does not settle each platform’s offline license or save behavior. If you have not installed or launched the game before, do not assume you can complete setup with no internet.
Can you play Franchise offline?
EA identifies online Franchise as a mode that requires server connectivity. That should not be confused with a local or offline Franchise experience. Does the platform change which modes appear?
Yes. EA’s English US Madden NFL 24 accessibility guide lists different menus by platform. These are menu-availability details, not an offline compatibility chart.

What if you are on PlayStation?
The US PlayStation Store listing says PlayStation Plus is required for online play. That requirement is about online play; it does not establish whether a first launch, installation, or offline license check needs internet. - Open the installed game. If it reaches the main menu, try Quick Play or another local-play option shown for your platform.
- Avoid server-connected modes. Ultimate Team and online Franchise depend on EA server connectivity and may not be available during an outage.
- Check your platform’s menu. Madden NFL 24 menus differ across PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S; use EA’s platform guide to confirm which features are listed for your system.
- If the game will not launch, separate setup from the outage. The available guidance does not confirm offline first-time installation or sign-in for every platform. Check the platform’s license or offline-play settings once you have a connection.
