Best Powers to Get in Dispatch: How to Choose Skills for Each Mission

The best powers in Dispatch depend on the emergency and your available heroes. Use mission needs, role coverage, pairings, and fatigue to guide upgrades.

There is no verified, universal “best powers” list for Dispatch. The game asks you to assign heroes to emergencies, upgrade skills, and unlock abilities; the strongest choice depends on the mission, the hero’s role, and who is available. Build for coverage and rotate your roster rather than chasing an unverified tier list.

How to choose powers in Dispatch

Start with the emergency, not a favorite ability. Dispatch is built around managing a roster and assigning heroes to calls, with mission choices that can have lasting effects. Its official Steam listing confirms that skills can be upgraded and abilities unlocked, but it does not rank those abilities or identify a best build.

  1. Read the mission’s demands. Consider which capabilities the call appears to need, then choose heroes and powers that address those needs. Don’t assume one ability is best for every emergency.
  2. Look at the whole hero. A fan FAQ describes five hero stats—Combat, Intellect, Charisma, Mobility, and Vigor—on a 1–10 scale. Use that framework to spot strengths and gaps, while treating the scale and role descriptions as guide information rather than official rankings. See the DispatchGame.org FAQ.
  3. Fit the power to the role. The same unofficial FAQ characterizes Coupé as an all-rounder, Prism as a diplomat, Golem as a tank, Invisigal as especially mobile, and Sonar as especially intellectual. These can help orient a new player, but they are not a proven ordering of heroes or abilities.
  4. Consider the team pairing. DispatchChoices.com’s synergy guide says repeated joint dispatches build pair synergy and that maximum synergy improves mission success chance. Treat its specific pairings as suggestions, not established best combinations; the available official listing does not confirm a definitive synergy ranking.
  5. Keep heroes rested and available. The unofficial FAQ warns that consecutive dispatches without rest can cause fatigue, lowering stats and raising failure risk. Rotating heroes can therefore matter as much as a power choice.

What is known about specific powers?

Malevola’s healing power-up

A Neoseeker search excerpt identifies Malevola as starting with a healing power-up and describes its skill placements as general recommendations shaped by player preference and story choices. The page could not be accessed for further detail, so this supports only the narrow claim that the excerpt names a starting healing ability—not a comparison of its effects or a claim that it is best. Other debated abilities

Community discussion mentions Golem’s “Spread Thin,” Prism, and Flambae abilities among powers players consider when training heroes. Those posts reflect individual preferences, not controlled comparisons. They are useful prompts to inspect the available in-game options, not evidence that any is best-in-slot. Why a definitive tier list would mislead

The available sources do not establish numerical success rates, pick rates, or a current patch-by-patch ranking of powers. The official listing describes the upgrade loop but does not rank skills; detailed allocations and role labels come from unofficial guides, and community posts are anecdotal. Treat a named build as a starting point, then judge it against the calls and options you see in your own game.

When deciding which learned powers to grab or where to spend skill points, favor the option that fills a real weakness in your roster or supports a useful mission pairing. Reassess as heroes become fatigued or unavailable; a theoretically strong build can be less useful if its hero cannot cover the next call.
