The event is over; this was a February 2025 update, not a current bonus.
When did the Black Ops 6 Double XP event end?
Treyarch’s February 10, 2025 announcement, reproduced by GameSpot, said the weekend would be extended for 48 hours, ending at 10 a.m. PT on February 12. That is 1 p.m. ET. The event had originally been expected to end February 10.
“Didn’t get to play as much as you wanted over the weekend? We got you.”
“We’re extending 2XP Weekend for 48 hours, now ending at 10 AM PT on Feb. 12.”

Was the free trial extended too?
No extension of the Black Ops 6 free trial was reported. The trial ran February 6–10, 2025; the reported 48-hour extension concerned the Double XP weekend.
Was the extension caused by the PlayStation outage?
GameSpot’s report connected the timing to the PlayStation Network outage, but the Treyarch message quoted in that report did not explicitly say the outage was the reason for extending the event. The connection should therefore be treated as context, not a confirmed explanation.

How did this differ from Double XP tokens?
A timed event-wide bonus is different from a promotional Dual 2XP token applied to an account. Activision’s Black Ops 6 Bonus Content and Code Support page, updated September 3, 2025, describes token promotions and says accounts are limited to 40 hours of each token type across promotions, with at most one hour of each type usable in-game per day. Those token terms do not mean the 2025 weekend event remains available.
