What is Road to Glory in College Football 25?
Road to Glory puts you in the role of a created college player. Rather than managing a whole program, you guide one athlete’s career: develop on the field, meet academic expectations, make choices about time and image, and work toward a legacy that can include the Heisman Trophy. EA’s May 17, 2024 announcement presented those student-athlete choices as central to the mode.

The announcement said College Football 25 includes 134 FBS schools—a game-wide figure, not a Road to Glory-specific count. EA announced a worldwide release for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on July 19, 2024. Player setup also includes star rating, archetype, mental abilities, and school. School options reflect the offers earned through your answers to player questions. Depending on those offers, you may enter as a starter, second string, or bench player; the guide also says you can walk on at a school where you do not have a scholarship offer. How does the weekly schedule work?
Each week, you allocate a limited energy budget across five priorities: Academics, Leadership, Health, Training, and Brand. The challenge is to decide which areas need attention without neglecting the rest of your player’s life. EA’s guide describes weekly scenarios that can complicate that plan—for example, a coach may ask for your time, or a brand may approach with an offer.

Those decisions can affect performance, injury risk, and GPA. EA Help states that a player needs at least a 2.0 GPA to stay on the field. The schedule is therefore not just a bonus menu: academic performance is one of the constraints shaping whether your player remains eligible to play, while health and training choices affect the athlete you bring to the game.
What does Coach Trust unlock?
Coach Trust connects your standing with the coach to your role and development. EA Help says higher trust can unlock audibles, additional plays in the playbook, a higher depth-chart position, and a position battle. That makes trust valuable both for expanding what you can do during games and for competing for a larger role.

EA’s guide also links Team Trust and academic performance to the chance of becoming captain or receiving bonuses. These systems mean that playing time is not the only measure of progress: choices away from the field can matter to team standing as well.
Can you transfer to another school?
Yes. The original reveal said players could use the transfer portal if they needed a better opportunity. EA’s announcement does not spell out transfer rules or promise a particular outcome, so the supported takeaway is limited: transferring is presented as a route to seek a different situation during your college career.

What changed after launch?
EA’s August 29, 2024 title update notes document one Road to Glory change: players could audible regardless of position when lined up on the field. What EA’s reveal emphasized
In the May 17 announcement, Daryl Holt, EA SPORTS SVP and Group GM, described the return of the series and the anticipation surrounding it: “EA SPORTS College Football is BACK! We’ve felt the passion and anticipation of college football fans every step of the way since we first announced this game, and we’re ecstatic to finally be able to show everyone what we’ve been building.” The quote speaks to the game’s return; the mode-specific details are in EA’s Road to Glory description and subsequent help guide.
