Yes. You can remove a connected console or supported third-party account in Battle.net Account Management under Connections by selecting Disconnect. This removes the external connection; it does not delete your Battle.net account. The cooldown, if any, depends on the connection type, so read the warning shown before confirming.
How to unlink a connected account
- Sign in to the Battle.net account that currently has the connection.
- Open Account Management and select Connections.
- Select Disconnect beside the console or platform account you want to remove.
- Read the on-page warning, including any cooldown period, before confirming. Blizzard says Customer Support cannot bypass a cooldown. See Blizzard’s console unlink guidance.
Blizzard’s guidance for linking the wrong third-party account covers Steam, PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, and Nintendo Switch. The available instructions do not establish that every platform has the same cooldown or the same effect on game data. See Blizzard’s article on a wrongly linked third-party account.
What to know before linking a different account
Blizzard says a Battle.net account may have one linked account for each supported third-party platform type, and the same platform account cannot be linked to multiple Battle.net accounts. Reconnect the intended account only when Account Management allows it. Blizzard notes that a linking error may require waiting up to 30 days; the cooldown displayed in Account Management is the applicable guide when one is imposed. Xbox: the 90-day rule is a specific case
For a wrong Xbox account linked in the Game Pass scenario, Blizzard says that if more than 90 days have passed since linking, disconnect the Xbox account and connect the correct one. If the cooldown has not expired, Blizzard directs players to use a new or different Battle.net account. Blizzard also says one Xbox account may be linked to a Battle.net account and that the same Xbox account cannot be linked to multiple Battle.net accounts. These instructions are specific to the Xbox/Game Pass case; they are not a universal cooldown rule for PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Steam, or other connections. If you cannot access the Battle.net account
For an unknown Xbox connection, Blizzard advises signing in to the Xbox account, opening the Battle.net login page, and trying the platform login option to identify the associated Battle.net account. If Blizzard Support must unlink an unknown Xbox account, Blizzard warns that game progress and earned or claimed rewards tied to the existing Battle.net account will be lost and cannot be recovered or transferred. This warning is specific to the Xbox support path described, not a verified consequence for every platform. See Blizzard’s Xbox account guidance.
