For Battlefield 6, no. EA Help says you can’t disable the game’s profanity filter. Battlefield 2042 has a separate text profanity filter that EA says “will always be active.” Those answers apply to the named games—not every Battlefield release.
What EA says about Battlefield 6
EA Help’s Battlefield 6 PC and controller settings guide states: “No, you can’t disable Battlefield 6’s profanity filter.” EA does not specify which words or dialogue the filter covers, and the guide does not document a platform-specific workaround.

How Battlefield 2042 differs
EA’s Battlefield’s Commitment to Positive Play says, “An in-game text profanity filter will always be active.” This is an older official statement specifically about Battlefield 2042’s in-game text filter; it does not establish what every other Battlefield game does.
Settings that do not turn off character swearing
Voice chat
In Battlefield 6, voice chat controls are under Settings > Audio. EA describes options for enabling voice chat and choosing a microphone mode, including Off, Open Mic, and Push To Talk. These controls affect player voice chat; they are not a setting for character dialogue.

Menu narration
EA’s Battlefield 6 guide says menu narration can be turned off under Settings > Accessibility by toggling Menu Narration off. That controls spoken menu narration, not in-game character dialogue.
Text and chat tools in Battlefield 2042
EA describes blocking or unblocking players and muting in-game text or chat in Battlefield 2042. These are social and chat controls; EA separately says its in-game text profanity filter remains active. EA’s Battlefield 2042 accessibility resource lists narration, subtitles, controls, display, and volume settings but does not identify a way to disable profanity in character dialogue.

Does changing the language help?
EA explains how to change language in its Battlefield 6 settings guide, but does not say that choosing another game or console language removes swearing. There is no supported language-setting workaround in the cited guidance.

The official guidance gives a clear answer for Battlefield 6 and a separate policy statement for Battlefield 2042. It does not establish a single profanity-filter policy for the entire series or explain the filter’s precise coverage. EA’s Player Safety Transparency Report: 2025 says EA moderation tools can moderate text in more than 20 global languages. That is company-wide context about text moderation, not a Battlefield 6 setting or evidence about spoken character dialogue.
