Yes. Delta supports Nintendo DS games, using the melonDS core. You’ll need to import your own game files; Delta does not provide a library of games. Touchscreen controls are available, and a physical controller is optional.
How Delta supports Nintendo DS games
Delta’s official press kit lists “Nintendo DS (DS)” as a supported system. Delta’s release notes identify melonDS 0.9.5 as the DS core in Delta 1.6, which brought DS compatibility and performance improvements. The same update removed the requirement for BIOS files, so instructions that say BIOS files are mandatory are outdated for that documented release. Delta press kit · Delta release notes
Support does not guarantee that every game file will run without problems on every device. Delta says a corrupted ROM can prevent a game from starting or cause freezes. Some larger ROM hacks may also need additional software, although many hacks run in Delta. Delta’s documentation does not provide an exhaustive current compatibility list by game and device. How to get games into Delta
Delta is an emulator, not a source of commercial game downloads. Its troubleshooting page answers “Where do I get games from? I thought I could get them from Delta” by stating that it cannot distribute games directly and directing users to its guidance on obtaining and importing game files. Check that importing guide for supported file formats, and use game files you are legally entitled to use; Delta does not supply them. Delta troubleshooting

Controls: touchscreen or physical controller
You can play using Delta’s on-screen controls; the press kit includes a Nintendo DS controller skin. Delta also lists MFi controllers and several console controller categories as supported, including PS4, PS5, Xbox One S and Xbox Series X controllers. A physical controller is optional, not a requirement. The press kit does not verify a specific Bluetooth model or identify a best controller, so check a controller’s compatibility with your device before buying it. Delta press kit
Online play and other DS features
Delta 1.7’s release notes, dated March 31, 2025, describe online play for Nintendo DS games that support it through community Nintendo WFC servers. The documented server choices are Wiimmfi, WiiLink WFC and AltWFC. This applies to compatible games and depends on those community servers; it is not a guarantee that online play works for every DS title. Delta release notes

- This renewed game will not come with the original case or manual; cartridge only. It has been cleaned, tested, and is in nice condition.
Delta 1.6’s release notes also document inserting GBA games into the DS dual-slot. They state that fast-forward speed increased to 3x on an A15 processor or later; that figure is a versioned release-note claim, not a promise of identical performance across all devices or games. Delta release notes
