Lunar Client lists several ways to earn cosmetics without paying: Discord level rewards, community giveaways and fit-checks, social giveaways, and occasional promotions. None is guaranteed to be available to every player at all times, so check the current instructions before taking part.
How do I get free Lunar Client cosmetics?
The official free-cosmetics guide describes these routes. Discord milestones offer stated rewards for reaching specified levels; giveaways and fit-checks are chance-based, while promotions may have narrow eligibility and end dates.

Earn Discord level rewards
Lunar Client’s guide says members can earn experience by chatting in its Discord server. It lists the following milestone rewards:
| Discord level | Reward listed by Lunar Client |
|---|---|
| 15 | Emote |
| 20 | One of a hat, bandanna, or mask |
| 25 | Cloak |
| 30 | Wings |
| 35 | Six months of Lunar+, a subscription rather than a permanent cosmetic item |
These are the rewards stated in the guide, not a guarantee that the program’s rules have remained unchanged. Check the official server for current requirements and use the claim form specified there if you qualify.

Enter Discord giveaways or post a fit-check
Lunar Client’s guides describe giveaways in Discord’s announcements and giveaways channels, plus a #fit-check channel where players post screenshots of their cosmetic outfits. Some fit-check participants may be selected for a cosmetic, and giveaways may be limited by activity, server level, Lunar+ membership, or boosting. These are opportunities, not guaranteed rewards. See the Discord guide and check each event’s current eligibility details.
Watch Lunar Client’s social channels
The free-cosmetics guide also points to Lunar Client’s social accounts for occasional giveaways tied to milestones, new cosmetics, or updates. An account listing is not an active offer: enter only when an official post confirms a current giveaway and explains its rules. Find the channels through Lunar Client’s socials page.

Are there limited-time free cosmetic promotions?
Sometimes, but an old promotion should not be treated as active. Lunar Client’s Lunar x Medal guide describes a limited-time quest for new Medal users on Windows. Its steps included downloading Medal, starting the Lunar quest, making and posting a clip, submitting a Minecraft username, and claiming through a Medal banner in the Lunar Client main menu. The listed choices were a Medal Heart Cloak, Lava Shield, or Duck pet. The guide does not establish that the offer is still available, so check for current terms before attempting it.
Is the Advent Calendar a current way to get cosmetics?
No. Lunar Client’s 2025 Advent Calendar guide describes a past event that ran December 13–25, 2025. Players checked in through the client to reveal rewards, with a bonus for claiming all 12. The guide says those event cosmetics were temporary and would be removed after the event. It anticipated the event returning in future years, but does not confirm a 2026 schedule or rewards.
Why didn’t my Lunar Client reward appear?
For a Discord reward, Lunar Client Support says the cosmetic is linked to the Minecraft account used when Discord was linked. Follow these checks from its troubleshooting page:
