No. Rockstar does not support transferring an Xbox GTA Online profile or Story Mode progress to PC. Linking your Xbox account to a Rockstar Games account is not a migration, so you should expect to start with a separate PC profile if you play there.
What happens to your Xbox GTA progress on PC?
Your Xbox character, GTA Online progress, and Story Mode save do not move to PC under Rockstar’s published transfer rules. Rockstar states that profiles cannot be migrated from Xbox or PlayStation console families to PC in its Grand Theft Auto Online Character Transfers guidance.
Buying or installing a PC copy of Grand Theft Auto V gives you a way to play on PC, but it does not bring your Xbox character or save with it. Treat PC as a fresh start for GTA progress.
Does linking your Xbox and Rockstar accounts transfer the character?
No. Account linking connects your Xbox account with a Rockstar Games account; it does not migrate your GTA profile. Rockstar’s Xbox account-linking instructions explain how to link accounts, while its account unlinking guidance notes that console GTA V character progress is linked to the Xbox Gamertag or PSN ID.

The Xbox app on PC also has account-linking steps for supported Rockstar titles. Those steps do not create a transfer route for an Xbox-console GTA profile.
Which GTA migrations are supported?
Rockstar’s supported migrations depend on both the platform family and the game version. The Xbox-to-Xbox option stays within consoles; the PC migration stays within PC.

What to do if you want to play GTA on PC
- Keep playing on Xbox if retaining your existing Xbox character and progress is the priority; Rockstar does not provide a PC migration for it.
- Start separately on PC if you choose to play there. Linking accounts is not a substitute for profile migration.
- Check the PC-to-PC instructions if you already have GTAV Legacy on PC and want to move to GTAV Enhanced on PC. Review eligibility before beginning; progress in Legacy and Enhanced will not sync after the migration.
