Yes. You can have more than one EA Account, but that does not mean you can combine them or move everything between them. Games, progress, purchases, and platform links may stay tied to the account where they were first associated. Before unlinking a console, Steam, or other platform account, check what could become inaccessible and ask EA Help about your specific accounts.
First, identify which accounts you mean
An EA Account is your EA identity. A PlayStation Network ID, Xbox account, Steam account, or other platform identity is a separate account that can be linked to it. Having multiple platform identities is not the same as having multiple EA Accounts, and EA sets limits on how those identities can be linked.
Check your EA Account settings and open the Connected Accounts tab to see which platform accounts are attached. If a platform is connected to an EA Account you no longer use, treat that as a link problem—not proof that your game data can be moved by switching accounts.
Choose the least risky way to fix a duplicate account
Keep both EA Accounts
This is the least disruptive option if you can still access both accounts. Use the EA Account that holds the relevant game or progress when signing in on each platform. EA’s Manage Multiple EA Accounts guidance explains how to manage separate accounts.

Free up an email address on a duplicate
If you created a second EA Account by mistake and want to use its email address on your preferred account, EA’s guidance describes changing the email on the second account first. Follow the current steps on EA Help, and make sure you retain access to the email addresses needed to verify both accounts. EA recommends using an email address you expect to keep access to.
Ask EA about a merge or transfer
EA says it cannot always merge accounts, and users do not have a self-service tool to move games or platform accounts. Contact EA Help for an account-specific review. Do not assume that a merge will move every game, purchase, or piece of progress.

What happens if you unlink a platform account?
Unlinking can affect more than the sign-in connection. EA warns that progress, DLC, expansions, memberships, subscriptions, rewards, and in-game purchases may become inaccessible when you move a platform account to a different EA Account. Some platform entitlements remain with the first EA Account linked.
Most importantly, unlinking does not transfer game progress to the new EA Account. EA says saves and achievements are linked to the original EA Account, and it cannot move progress between EA Accounts. Review EA’s unlinking guidance before making a change.

Check link limits and account restrictions before acting
EA says platform links can be switched up to three times in a rolling year. That limit does not guarantee that a particular unlink or relink will be allowed: account history and account status can affect eligibility. Disabled, banned, suspended, or inaccessible accounts may prevent unlinking.
Read EA’s current unlinking troubleshooting guidance and check Connected Accounts before changing anything. If you cannot access the EA Account currently linked to your platform, or the option is unavailable, contact EA Help rather than trying repeated link changes.

Why you may not be able to link a platform to another EA Account
EA places limits on platform links. For example, an EA Account cannot be linked to two PlayStation Network IDs. Linking an additional account of the same platform type may require a separate EA Account. If you see a message that a platform is already linked, first confirm which EA Account it is connected to; creating another EA Account will not move the existing platform link or its data.
EA’s account-linking guidance explains the current rules. Because link history and account restrictions can matter, EA Help is the place to confirm whether a particular platform can be moved.

Special case: Apex Legends Cross Progression
Do not treat Apex Legends Cross Progression as a general account-merge tool. EA’s lost-progress guidance says Cross Progression incorporated content from accounts linked at the relevant time; an account unlinked before that process was not included in the merge. Unlinking can affect access to progress, and EA says progress cannot be moved from one EA Account to another. See How to find lost progress in your EA game for EA’s guidance.
Child accounts and age-rated games
Child accounts and some age-rated games have additional transfer restrictions. If a child account is involved, review EA’s parental-controls guidance and ask EA Help to assess the specific accounts before attempting a merge or link change.
