Roblox says cheating or exploiting violates its Terms of Use and can lead to account deletion. Its anti-cheat guidance also says using a modified Roblox app or software that changes how Roblox works may result in a temporary suspension, with a permanent ban possible if it happens repeatedly. The exact consequence depends on the violation and the account’s history; Roblox does not publish one guaranteed penalty or timetable for every exploit case.
What Roblox counts as exploiting
Roblox’s Cheating and Exploiting guidance says exploiting or cheating violates its Terms of Use. Its Anti-cheat Messages article specifically warns about modified versions of the Roblox app and software that changes how Roblox works. Roblox says such apps may be used to steal account information, cheat, exploit, or cause other harm.
For practical purposes, do not use exploit tools, scripts, executors, or modified clients with Roblox. Close them and return to the official, unmodified Roblox app.
What can happen to your account?
Roblox’s wording is serious: its cheating and exploiting article says the behavior “will lead to the deletion of an account.” The anti-cheat article describes possible temporary suspension and says repeated use can lead to a permanent ban. These statements warn of account-level consequences, but they do not establish a fixed sequence that every player will receive.

Roblox’s Content Moderation on Roblox explanation says moderation depends on factors such as the severity and impact of the violation, past behavior, and repeated violations. It does not provide an exploit-specific first-offense duration or guarantee that a warning will come first. There is also no official statistic in these support materials that establishes how often exploiters are caught or a typical ban length.
Exploit downloads can also threaten your account security
Roblox warns that many exploit offers are scams that may install malware, including keyloggers or phishing programs. These can steal personal information, including a Roblox password. Avoid exploit downloads and suspicious offsite links, and never give your password to someone offering an exploit or claiming they can help with one.

To report exploit attempts, exploit sharing, password requests, or suspicious links, use Roblox’s Report Abuse controls. Roblox recommends using only the official, unmodified app.
A ban from one experience is not the same as a Roblox account ban
Experience creators can set and enforce custom rules for their own experiences. If a creator bans you from one experience, Roblox says to appeal directly to that creator; Roblox Support does not handle appeals of creator-issued bans. Error Code 267 indicates this kind of experience ban. It does not, by itself, mean Roblox has banned your whole account, and the restriction does not block access to other experiences or Roblox platform features.

Roblox’s custom-rules guidance also says an experience subscription is automatically canceled without a refund if you are banned from that experience for more than 14 days. That rule concerns a subscription to the affected experience; it is not a Roblox account-ban duration.

If Roblox issued the moderation action, follow the appeal instructions in the moderation notification. The available route can vary by category and region. Roblox may provide a direct Violations & Appeals link for eligible cases; if the action is not listed there, use the support form described in its appeal guidance.

- Submit an account appeal within the general 30-day limit stated by Roblox. The article says EU users have up to six months to appeal an initial moderation action under its regional provisions.
- Include the account username and a brief explanation when using the support form.
- The account owner must submit the appeal using a valid email address associated with the account.
- Do not send duplicate appeals for the same moderation action; Roblox says duplicates will not be reviewed.
An appeal asks Roblox to review the decision; it does not guarantee that the moderation will be reversed. Check your notification for the applicable deadline and route.
