The DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed is smaller and 8 g lighter than the V3 Pro, while the Pro has higher published sensor ratings. Razer also claims up to 100 hours of battery life for HyperSpeed and up to 90 hours for Pro. Both support an optional, separately sold dongle for Razer’s stated 8,000 Hz wireless polling upgrade.

Razer lists the model specifications and package differences on the DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed product page. The battery figures are manufacturer maximum claims, not results from a controlled, side-by-side battery test.
Which one is smaller, and how does the shape differ?
The HyperSpeed is shorter, narrower, and lower than the Pro, with a more compact overall body. Razer describes the shapes as similar, but says the HyperSpeed was refined to reduce length and width while retaining a high peak for support. That makes it the smaller option on paper; it does not establish that it will fit every hand better. Razer describes the Pro as a right-handed ergonomic mouse.

Does the Pro’s sensor have a meaningful advantage?
Razer publishes higher maximum sensor ratings for the Pro: 30,000 DPI, 750 IPS, and 70 G, compared with 26,000 DPI, 500 IPS, and 40 G for HyperSpeed. These figures describe the manufacturers’ stated sensor ceilings. They do not by themselves show that every player will notice a difference in ordinary play, so the spec gap is best treated as a distinction for shoppers who specifically value the higher published ratings.
How do battery life and polling rate compare?
Razer claims up to 90 hours for the Pro and up to 100 hours for HyperSpeed. The figures are maximum manufacturer claims; actual battery life varies with use, and they are not a direct comparative measurement.

Razer says both mice can support true 8,000 Hz wireless polling with its HyperPolling Wireless Dongle, sold separately. The Pro’s launch announcement lists native 1,000 Hz polling; the 8,000 Hz upgrade is not included in the box. For Pro launch details, see Razer’s announcement.

- Choose the HyperSpeed if you want the smaller, lighter body or prefer its more compact dimensions. Its published maximum battery claim is also 10 hours higher.
- Choose the Pro if its larger dimensions suit your grip better or you place value on its higher published sensor ratings.
- For either model, count the separately sold HyperPolling Wireless Dongle in your budget if the stated 8,000 Hz wireless polling upgrade matters to you. Without that upgrade, the Pro’s launch specification is native 1,000 Hz.
Neither model’s specifications alone determine which feels better in your hand. Compare the listed dimensions and weight against the size and feel you prefer, rather than assuming a smaller or higher-rated mouse is automatically the better fit.
