How to Get PlayStation Store Sale Notifications on PS5 and App

Add a game to your PlayStation Store wishlist, then enable Wishlist Updates on your PS5 or in the PlayStation App to receive alerts about price changes and some PlayStation Plus catalog additions. You can use either route—or both—without buying extra hardware.

1. Add a game to your PlayStation Store wishlist

Open the game’s Store page on PS5, in the PlayStation App, or in a PC browser.
Select the heart icon to add the game to your wishlist. Sony says adding the first item creates a wishlist if you do not already have one.

Sony’s April 20, 2026 PlayStation Blog Deutschland guide describes access to the wishlist on PS5, in the PlayStation App, and in a PC browser. Its detailed instructions are regional and in German, so menu names and feature availability may differ by region or app and system version.

2. Choose where to receive wishlist notifications

PS5 pop-ups and PlayStation App push notifications are complementary options. Choose the console if you want alerts there, the app if you want them on your phone, or enable both. Sony’s sources do not establish that one route is faster or more reliable.

Enable alerts on PS5

Open Settings > Notifications > Wishlist Updates.
Enable the wishlist pop-ups. Adjust when they appear or are suppressed if you do not want them interrupting games, videos, or broadcasts.

Sony describes Wishlist Updates as a category that lets you “See when there are updates to items on your wishlist.” See PlayStation’s PS5 notification guide for the category and pop-up controls. The exact options may vary with your console software version.

Enable alerts in the PlayStation App

Open the PlayStation App and tap Settings (the gear icon).
Go to Push Notifications > Accounts and Offers > Wishlist Updates and enable the setting.

Menu labels may vary with app version or region; check the labels in your app if they differ. If push notifications are off, Sony says you can still review notifications in the notification list on the app’s Play screen. See PlayStation App support for app notification settings.

What wishlist alerts can tell you

Sony’s April 20, 2026 guide says wishlist updates can include discounts or price reductions, as well as games added to the PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium catalog. These alerts do not establish that an offer is available in every region, arrive at a particular time, or remain available after you see the notification. Check the Store listing for the current price and terms before purchasing.
